we can see a glimpse of roop and zafars love song in here, right at the end of the video varun and alia are hugging and he is swinging her around, so i guess thats the kalank title track duet version that will be shown in the second half of the film, they shoud have released that video rather than the one they released just showing random scenes

and looks like the movie has a huge budget coz of the set

Really respect the effort that was put in for this. Poor Abhishek, seems really passionate about his work but Karan is just a meddler and control freak. 🤢 It was probably him who decided to have these medieval era sets. He wants everything to be larger than life 😆

So much effort has gone in. I hope the story is equally good.

tbh the set does look like its from Aladdin, the signs for the shops look fake and not authentic, everything looks so clean and neat, not like a real market

Exactly. This doesn't look like the Old Delhi of the 1940s but more like the Shahjahanabad of the 1600s. 😆

Nothing looks authentic here.

Set pieces on the table still look okay so the colouring is the department that has made it appear fake. Also whoever that lady is, your research was shit.

Can't believe they Wasted so much, time, effort & money to build this absolutely FAKE set! The Agrabah reference is spot on but even tht Disney version was more authentic with broken walls, scattered items etc. Wats even funnier is the cast & crew praising it. 😆

Lmao. The squeaky clean sets remind me of a comment here. How Karan wanted everything prim and proper cause Kalank nahi ishq hain kajal piya 😆

though the set didn't get 1940's look, it is indeed beautiful. they could make a period movie with this set. So many people's hardwork behind it. also i loved the ending scene with Zafar and Roop, looks dreamy

I doubt if they want to portray it as old Delhi.
I am guessing it to be set in Pakistan , and the river being indus. If It'd been Set in Delhi, Why would Roop and Dev move out
