Duh! Madhuri was never a decent actress. Her only claim to fame was she had dethroned the then pan-Indian superstar Sridevi.

Both are intense actors...

Madhuri was more versatile.

But Rani is more consistent in her craft.

You only have to watch Black to know that. Madhuri could never have done that role.

Strictly based on acting talent, yes (watch Black) But she lacks screen presence, aura, charisma whatever it takes to becomes a superstar. Cant compare that to Madhuri.

I agree..I dont even like Rani, but she survived in this industry, with all her shortcomings ie in terms of looks..only because she is a very skilled performer..

SLB had once said, that Rani is not star material and lacks screen presence , but she is one of the best performers in the business and that is enough to captivate the audience..which is what acting is all about

Again, I cannot stand Rani offscreen for sure😆😆

I haven't watched a lot of movies of Madz (-seen her fun films mostly late 90s kind)... while Rani I have grown up watching! ... She has played all genres there are .. from "sexy to seductive to mature all the way to the other extreme of blind, deaf and dumb character" ... so Rani as an actor fosho! .. 😊

Completely agree with everything. I'm not a fan of her as well but I can't deny that she is a talented actress.

She had various physical shortcomings as an actress but she overcame all of that with her great performances.

No - however Madhuri is known more for her dancing skills and Rani for her acting..while madhuri is a great actress too, rani is a pathetic dancer, its cringe worthy to see her dance on screen
