To be honest, everyone I know in real life really like her as an actress. If asked, best actress in BW today, I think almost everyone I know would pick her. I'm sometimes surprised by the number of fans she has!

Shes popular with kids and youth but can she really be called a star? I dont think shes that universally popular yet, only amongst a certain demographics.

Most people expect her movies to be good because KJo handpicks the scripts and directors for her, otherwise on her own she has not much going for her.

As an actress, shes competent but not great. Yet has to show greatness in her performances, something that can go above and beyond the script, that she has not shown yet.

Well she doesn't have any competition as other actresses don't even get a chance now so by default she is the most popular from the new gen.

Seriously? SRK stayed on Top for years and Ruled BW despite having competition from Sallu and Aamir/Akshay/Hrithik unlike Alia who literally have no one to compete with. Aisa bhi kya stardom where you have no major competition because others don't even get chance😆
