After Great Grand Masti & Super Nani flopped, no star or production house wanted to work with Indra Kumar. Only @ajaydevgn stepped in to help Indra by agreeing to star & co-produce #TotalDhamaal He also helped put this project together creatively & technically. Respect!

I will not speak about Simba, as I have not watched that movie. (Who should take the credit).

But in my family, first reason to book tickets for Total Dhamaal was Madhuri. One can list her previous flops. But can one recall, when was her last commercial/mainstream movie? (Even Aaja Nachle was not a mainstream movie, though it had dance).

Madhuri may a very good actress, but most of her fans are mainstream movie watchers. They won't go for an art movie.

True, they are all grown ups now. They can't visualise her again in a movie like Dil. Having said, they cannot force themselves to watch Dedh Ishquiya or Gulaab Gang. Total Dhamaal gave them a perfect opportunity.

I was really surprised to learn this. Madhuri is still one of those females, whose name (in a commercial movie) can make a man spend money to buy tickets. I bet, Anushka or Sonam do not have that power.

Saw the movie yesterday in theater... pretty good crowd for an afternoon watch... Liked the movie, it is a brainless comedy but it does get you laughs... Anil and Madz is a pure delight to watch, love their chemistry together...

Total Dhamaal is a now Hit :)

Maybe a Super Hit on Friday or weekend.

Total Dhamaal has emerged a HIT film as it holds strongly on Monday with collections in the 9.25- 9.50 crore nett range. The drop is around 40% from a good start of 16 crore nett apprx. The film is even stronger in places like UP, Gujarat, Bihar and the Central belts dropping even less. Single screens in these areas especially UP have dropped just 20-25% from day one.

The collections of the film have gone to around 70 crore nett in four days and it is looking to be in the 90-95 crore nett range over the week depending on the next few days. The drop is around 50% at the high end premium multiplexes but it can sustain well in the long run without these.

The next test for the film will be on the second Friday and if it mass and families come again on Friday and the weekend it could become a SUPER HIT film. It is the first in the Dhamaal series to emerge a HIT theatrically as the first two were huge on television but not so big in the theatres.
