Some people are just so reluctant to give Ranveer his due. The amount of goalpost changing I've seen! Yeah he's good BUT it's due to XYZ & the kitchen sink, too soon to say it's him' or let him do a film with/without some factor (that keeps changing too once he achieves it)'

Tiger has one damn movie and he is still somehow more popular than Ranveer.

Ranbir gave huge disasters like BV and JJ yet he is popular than Ranveer.

Varun has no 200cr movie yet and Ranveer has two yet he is more popular than Ranveer

The best part is that some on the forum and the likes of BOI never hesitate to give credit to other actors for all their successes but padding, as BOI loves to call it, comes into the fray only in the case of Ranveer. I still remember how BOI had given everyone from Karni Sena to SLB to even Shahid, the credit for Padmaavat. Sanju is seen as Ranbir's success. Tiger's one Baaghi 2 propelled him above everyone and Varun's average grossers are also spun into some great success track record. Now toh even Vicky, a one hit wonder, is a superstar😆

Yet it is Ranveer who despite not being as "popular or as big a star" as his contemporaries has the most endorsements and the most social media followers. He is the only one from his contemporaries who is chosen by the biggest directors to collaborate with repeatedly in their prestigious projects. Is the only one from the lot to give two back to back 200 grossers and collect 500 crore plus in a year, a feat achieved yet only by Salman. Ranveer is also the one who was able to bring in such a respectable opening for a completely niche film, thereby ensuring that at the most it will not flop now.
