I can see why the "second half" is more lauded! ... With movies like these it's bound to happen sine first half is mostly about introducing characters and building on the story while second half is where most of the action comes through, hence it makes more of an impact!...

First half is like gearing up to shoot a ball while second half is when you actually use the momentum from first half to hit a six! .. So I am not surprised at all that second half is creating more impact .. rightly so .. and it makes sense fosho! ...

Never witnessed this kind of appreciation, whistles, claps for a woman centric film. #Manikarnika is such first experience for me. Kangana Ranaut didn't play Rani LaxmiBai, she lived Rani LaxmiBai. 4.5 for such an Epic Tale!

Yeah I liked the first half too, coz it was a slow build up to her personality..

they created it like a super hero series. So they gave it an entertaining format

Maybe thats why they inserted that song but barring that, her growth from an innocent girl to a mighty warrior is well done.

Just finished watching #Manikarnika It is a superb, prodigious film and Kangna Ranaut's performance is outstanding. This film is a must watch for all cinegoers.

Manikarnika. 1st half. Laughably bad. No f**kin nuance. Caricatures for characters. No new insight. And East India Company officers talking in accented Hindi among themselves. Rani doing a item dance in the Village. Imagine.
