The British officers when speaking among themselves speak in English and only speak Hindi when speaking to the people of Jhansi ...
I don't see whats the problem in that. How will they communicate with the people then when clearly they don't understand English?

As for the so called "item song", you need to watch the movie .

Yes she does dance but I am not surprised , when a Bajirao can do " bajne de " then Jhansi ki Rani can definitely dance...

Cinematic liberty which does not affect the essence of the movie

They never have such questions when extolling Rani Padmavati gyration in front of everyone on Ghoomar with VFX covered midrif. 😆

Or for that matter Bajirao/Khilji jumping to Malhari / Khalibili 😆

All shocks, "wow..meant for Kangana and her movies. 😳

^i thought you were raving about how kangana is going to keep it "authentic" and not "bhansali-fy" it?

So now it's ok to be a DietBhansali version?

I wouldnt call it Bhansali-fy, I would rather call it Bollywood'ify

Bhansali, its my personal view that he makes a mockery of historicals by making it all about love and lovers ...

This movie rightly showcases the thought that love for the motherland comes first, baaki sab baadme

main agar rahoon ya na rahoon, bharat rehna chahiye

that is the essence of the movie, cinematic liberties have been taken and thay have mentioned it before the movie begins

For me, This was the perfect introduction to the generation of today about Jhansi Ki Rani and they have tried to do it in an entertaining way and Amar Chitra Katha way ...which for me worked

Do watch the movie instead of having discussions about it.

As I said, I cannot have discussions with ones who havent watched it coz then I can discuss on specifics

Apparently the Britishers are talking amongst themselves in Hindi. Also, in some American review, they said the British have American accent when talking in English. How stupid is that!!

An item dance is a term for something specific and since I haven't watched the movie, I posted that review here and asked if she has. I don't know, if I watched the movie, I would've commented on it, not asked a question. I hope it is not how it sounds. Is this the song that everyone is going on about? This same poster who is not quoting me but still talking to me said something about an unnecessary song in the 1st half. 😆

Anyway, I'm really sad that it was Kangana who got to making a movie on this topic and she has made a shitshow out of it. Not that I could have expected any better, but I guess I did.

@tasisme

After a long time I watched a movie wherein everyone in the theatre applauded in the end...take a bow #KanganaRanaut and the team of #Manikarnika...this was not a film, it was an experience...

Of course you can't have discussions with people who are pointing out the hypocrisy and back pedaling. Just like reviews of masand, anupama and komal nehta are being sidelined in the "reviews" thread cause they aren't favorable but jokers like KRK and sumit kadel are being quoted..

Lol 🤣

Not true

I watched the movie last night and tthe british talk among themselves in english and only when they communicate with the people of Jhansi they communicate in Hindi.

I didn't take a close look of their accnt, as long as I understood what they said . It was clear

The song in my personal POV was un-necessary and they decided to take that cinematic liberty for whatever reason but does it affect the essence of the story...NO

When you like the movie, then any criticism will seem unnecessary and pointless.

I have posted the review where that person said they talk in Hindi amongst themselves. And also where that guy said the accents were not British. So, that's that. You didn't think so, okay.

IMO if there is an item song in the movie, it is a disgrace. Just like you have your opinion, I have mine.
