I fail to believe why people's hatred takes over them so much that they take it upon not just an individual but the entire project. It's understandable that you dislike/hate kangana for her statements, basically you wouldn't see me in standing in support or against in her statements, not that i don't admire her guts and all, I do but I am not sort of a driven fan who's obsessed about supporting anything or everything their favourite actor or actress does. Kangana is very outspoken and she has been like that since very beginning but people only noticed this once she got successfull after queen. Her personal opinions can be debatable and could be subjective...
having said this...Manikarnika is an awesome piece of work, its a brilliant film and if you want to bring it down just because Kangana is in it then i feel sorry for such souls because whether you agree or not Filmmaking is never about one person, it's a team work...so many people have done much amazing work in this film and you can't discredit everything for an actress. It's ironical and shameful that a film on Lakshmi Bai took so long to be made in this decade (The last jhansi ki rani too was a troubled n delayed production which bombed in 1953) This film was important as people should know about what really went through those times of freedom struggle and how a woman against all odds took a stand against the mighty british

I agree with Nepotism that this film deserved a lot to do better, should have been made tax-free and indeed it might have lost out kangana's bold attitude that she carries forward. but despite all this its heartening that people have atleast loved the film to an extent that the hard work of people inside the team has been appreciated. hope it continues to do well and stay some more time in theaters..long live the spirit of jhansi ki rani

I don't want to engage with people who attack other members personally. This is not a fanclub. Make a FC for Kangana and see if I will bother coming over there. Until then, everybody has a right to post what they want here.

Don't bother about them
we liked the movie, the people loved it and its a success, recovered the money and is a box office HIT

it also proved that whatever she said about it being a racket...ganging up...spot on.

she nailed it as Jhansi Ki Rani, brilliant she was

Folks,

In this momentous time for a women centric film, let's not get distracted by what this could have/would have/should have been. 😊

Let's celebrate what it is!

Based on this reality, there is some producer out there encouraged to think of another woman centric big budget film that could benefit someone perhaps even beside Kangana.

This is called pushing the envelope.

Kudos to Kangana for not giving up.👏 She deserves EVERY BIT of its success. 👍🏼

Indisputable Accolades
  • Highest single day collection for women led film
  • Highest opening weekend for women led film
  • 2nd highest first week for women led film after TWMR
  • 3rd highest lifetime collection of women led film following TWMR and Raazi
  • 2nd highest grosser film of Kangana's career (riding on her shoulders)
And all this riding on RLB legacy, Kangana's bravura performance (claps/whistles) and of course an engaging film by the talented cast and crew that ensured it continues to run even in 4th week.

To new directorial beginnings...

Was finally able to catch the movie over the weekend! ... And might I say I was pleasantly surprised to have thoroughly enjoyed Manikarnika's journey as a motion picture! ... Will write a review later when I get more time on hands .. For now 👏 for the tremendous effort and hard work by the entire team ... 3.5/5 for me!

So her fans worldwide pooled in money online to host a screening for underprivileged kids in Bangalore. This was organized by her fan @ArzitaSingh07 👏

I have seen this film thrice...and believe me each time I saw I was blown away the reason I didn't give my review here or otherwise coz this place's full of negativity. harsh but that's the truth, but I have been following the thread and i was wishing hard for it to get into 100 crores and so on...
and it's CELEBRATIONS time 🥳

after all hue and cry by dir Krish, u would think that there's a lot of tampering done to the project but there isn't..the film runs smoothly. infact even the role of Kashi Bai played by Mishti is effective, I don't have an idea what's the fuss she's making. she looked gorgeous and acted well ditto for Ankita, despite limited screen space she rocked the show..

The veterans are superb as always - kulbushan kharbanda Danny Denzongpa (he's tailor made for such roles) Suresh Oberoi Suparn Verma (Rajmata) Atul Kulkarni are just fabulous. also make a special note for Jisshu Sengupta who has been sidelined by Critics. he's absolute fab as Gangadhar Rao. his chemistry with Kangana is simply superb, watch his last scene where he asks her to become the manikarnika he once saw flying and break the barriers.

music by Shankar Ehsaan Loy is 10/10 not a single track seems boring - its melodious, inspiring, arousing...a complete patriotic album

and finally coming to Kangana, she is beyond superb - Considering Rani Lakshmi Bai is such an Iconic figure of bravery, courage and valor let's not forget her life was nothing short of a tragedy in such a tender age she lost her mother her husband her child and ultimately lost her life for motherland but her bravery made her soul immortal and Kangana brought every bit of it to life..honestly you can just go and go in praising her but then she deserves it.

having said all this, let's also be prepared for the fact that Manikarnika despite all the success n adulation from fans and over the world shall be snubbed at all award functions next year..the only hope is national award. I hope Fan clubs across all social media should keep the praise level for the film for the whole year atleast and not let it down.

My Rating would be 4.5/5 i'm deducting .5 marks because they either edited out or didn't shoot a fight scene or two in which Rani Lakshmi Bai defeats the English on 1st day of her attack, this is what we have read in text books and also its shown in old Jhansi Ki Rani movie as well...but that's ok i think that would have increased the runtime of the film...

I' feel extremely happy and proud to be brought up on the same soil that belongs to Manikarnika ! ⭐️
