Also on the me too movement I wish we got to hear something from Tabu . She has been in the industry for so long ... her first film if I remember correctly had a huge controversy .. dev Anand misbehaved with her ...

She would have been the best person to speak abt it .

Sorry to say but other than Tabu everyone else came across as extremely unintelligent

Content is doing well... but these women are the best we have I'd say we should be worried p 😆

I agree. Sexual harrassment happens everywhere n not just BW and there are so many guys who get away with it. U cannot really stop the men but u can learn to defend urself n say no. It is not to easy to nip it in the bud. Unless every victim comes out with their story and the perpetrators get punished everywhere n everytime doubt any change will happen.

Martial arts training, or some sort of self defence training should be instituted in schools for girls and this personality development should start from school itself. Also atleast then the guy will think twice before doing it to other women.

I don't think she was victim shaming, she was trying to say that women should be self sufficient in looking after themselves and not dependent on anyone for anything.

But Rani was surely annoying in the rest of the Roundtable. Constantly cutting into everyone else's points, not letting others speak 🥱

I think she did...She said- the responsibility lies with the women...If they are strong enough and put their foot down, no man can do anything to them! I personally have seen situations at my work, even low key I have gone through them, where you just don't know how to put your foot down without losing your job or your dignity or both and in the end achieve nothing but coming across as a wannabe! One can put their foot down only when the advances are blatant, what are you going to do if the harassment is subtle?

Why can't we stop the men. Thats the entire point. They aren't above law. Men should fear repercussions. Self defence comes later. Its just unethical to accept ke yeh mere saath ho sakta hain kyunki yahin hota raha hain so let me learn self defence. Why would it happen in the first place. Who is giving those men agency of our bodies. Why would responsibility fall on the woman but the men get 'they do it theres no way out' pass.

The bashing is not coming from some arch Rani haters. I praise Rani in areas where she deserves praise but she misspoke here. If she has integrity she should clarify or take her words back.

Oh she said that? I may hv misheard then. No in no way does the responsibility of a man sexually harrassing u lie with u. How stupid of her to say that! 🥱

The subtle harrassment bit, thats what im saying women should be educated and in school itself there should be some sort of program or something that helps u deal with such ppl. The personality development should start from then itself. Simply sex education is not enough. Girls should be taught to be assertive and strong. I know its easier said than done but the only logical solution is this. This MeToo movement has brought change only in BW, what about the lesser known incidents where women are harrassed everyday and men get away with it. There has to be some way for them to deal with it. And if they are successful in saying no, who knows such incidents can reduce.

Im not saying men should continue their behaviour but the fact is most men are trash n they will not sudrofy until they are castrated or hanged everytime a rape happens or publicly shamed for their acts. In most places it doesn't happen for fear of victim shaming. In such a situation women should protect themselves. Its the first step towards change.
