Before starting the review I must say that Simbaa is basically being used by Rohit as a vehicle to announce that he is planning a franchise of Singham and other cops, as it can be seen that Simbaa is a spin off of Singham.
The movie has taken elements base plot from Temper, while also adding some stuffs from Pataas, Theri and that court judge speech was like Jolly LLB part one speech.
While Rohit has done a good job by not making Ranveer as dark as Daya in Temper, because this natkhat and mufaat Simbaa is a good foil for the future movies with a strict and moral Singham and possibly a badass Sooryavansi.
The movie as a whole is a good time pass flick but let's be honest the movie is being carried by Ranveer because otherwise there is not much in the movie.
The character change of the hero is more revenge driven unlike Temper which was more guilt driven.
Plus in the end, it felt like Rohit was giving more emphasis to Singham than to Simbaa.
But overall it is a Paisa wasool timepass movie.
Ranveer was excellent, as always he does do comedy well, while he didn't disappoint in emotional scenes.Sara was just there, nothing to write about it.
Sidhart and Ashutosh had a nice track with Simbaa, one supporting Simbaa's corrupt nature while another opposing it.Sonu Sood was an under baked character.
Nice to see Prerna Gautam. While the girl who played Aakriti was good too.
And all in all it is a 6/10 movie but definitely worth watching for Ranveer and the interesting franchise seeds that it is planting.
