what?? You didn't heard of the starplus reboot??

The key difference was that Krishna wasn't ever maliciously sly or manipulative, he did things on the sly because he was the god, he knew the ultimate truth, he knew everything thus decided to move pieces around to get the best results. There was a layer of compassion behind his slyness and manipulations, I don't think Aamir can bring all those various layers of Krishna by staying true to the original material aka the mahabharat epic itself. He would try to mold Krishna to his own liking, and wouldn't bring the proper balance between Krishna's slyness and simultaneous compassion towards the human kind. He would lean it too much toward slyness or manipulation. Tbh, I don't trust him to follow the original epic, he would tweak to his own liking. and this is NOT the type of material you should take any liberaties with. The BEST and only Krishna who played the part perfectly was in Br chopra's mahabharat.

If arjun was at least 15 or 17 when he married draupadi and krishna was older than arjun. Say krishna was 18.

Draupadi's child with arjun is born during this time. So before dice game add another 2-5 years. Since she had one year with one hubby rule.and he missed his turn upon his return with her.

Ergo arjun 31 to 33.

13 years exile from dice game.

Arjun is 46 or so. Krishna more than that...close to 50 during great war.

So a 50 + actor playing a 48/50 year old is not that mismatched no?😆

As for younger versions i agree they will have to do a lot of make up or take younger actors to play young krishna.

1. Vedic rules say 3 years after menarche. Which means, Panchali had to be at least 15 to 16 at the time of the swayamvar.

2. Her description by Vyasa is that of a fully grown woman, not a pubertal girl.

3. Her description by Vyasa also says she had completed all education: not just palace management. Vyasa calls her Saraswati. Given that she managed the treasury of Indraprastha, her education had to have included that also. So late teens at the very least.

4. All Pandavas had completed gurukul by swayamvar. Which would put them at mid 20s

5. Krishna was supposed to be the same age as Arjuna (he is shown to genuflect before Yudhishtira and Bheema and hug Arjuna).

6. Dronacharya is clearly stated to be 85 at the time of Kurukshetra war. Drona was married to Kripi, who was Shanthanu's adopted daughter. Which puts him similar age group as Bheeshma, who was Arjuna's grandfather.

7. WHich puts Arjuna at the oldest in his early 40s by war. Krishna, as well.

My big problem with Aamir playing Krishna is AK doesn't fit the description. Krishna was supposed to be tall and built with biceps like mountains (that's what Vyasa says😆) and a voice like thunder. Plus, Mahabharata's Krishna was a serious man, not given to jokes as is popularly depicted. I just can't imagine Aamir playing Krishna.
