But Kjo dropping Karthik from Good news with Kareena makes me wonder if he sees Karthik as a threat to industry kids. :(

Frankly now Karthik has made his mark in the collective public memory. So IMO if his next movie works and I think it will, the one with Kriti Sanon (saw a lot of buzz just with the poster on insta)...then he will have arrived for sure.

Of course Kjo is like the mother hen for his star kid brood. Ayushman recently revealed that Dharma themselves said they dont audition anyone other than star kids.

Yeah Karthik has really good visibility. He will not be forgotten easily. At least i hope so. He has a long way to go.

How and why did this happened?

How all of a sudden he came in the lime light all of a sudden?

How come the spotlight suddenly is on him and still is which was never the case before

HOW and WHY ?i fail to understand atleast.

Kareena took him under her wing. If you notice ever since she first started taking pics with him back in I dont know july or something, rest of her gang also warmed up to him. And she's like the Information and Broadcasting Ministry so that was all the right buttons pressed in the media.

Anyway he certainly deserves all of it and more. Marketing is everything today. That's why people will watch crap films even if they have overhyped yet to prove themselves star kids while ignoring great movies like Laila Majnu.

Imagine it took Karthik years I think to court some attention. Star kids just wake up, release carefully created articles and artificial personas and people begin to bend over backwards to praise them. It's quite funny actually. 😆

His persistence and hard work! ... And Luv Ranjan! .. Without LR considering him the "muse" he wouldn't have survived ... Also, he made a mark with PKP series and his recent sweety movie! ... He shone ahead of others because he is "conventionally" a better looked than other heroes of the same series!

Well, if Tiger can become success than why not Kartik.

I was always a fan from his first movie but I didn't think he was going to be this popular

IDK, I have seen only Pyaar Ka Punchnama.. but never found him attractive or appealing. His 10-minute rant sure was a highlight.. but as far as appeal goes, no, not even in PKP, where I liked the other dude, the tallest and calmest one.. now why didn't he get any successful :(

He is good actor ...was very good in pyaar ka panchnama...
