Tabu, Rani and even Tapsee were more compelling. 😉

Even by Deepika's standards, Padmaavat was a thankless role. It would be shut out of nominations completely had it not been for the march...but there too more SLB wizardry and score at play. 😕

I think the Laxmi biopic gives her scope to perform after awhile.

Alia is a good actress and a rising star. It was always going to be her.

The older you are, the harder it gets to receive awards. They are going to put in the effort for people who are going to stick around for the next 10 years. No matter how good Rani or Kajol or even Deepika acts now, it will be difficult to get awards. They move on.
