The first movie I saw of Ranveer was Lootera and that time I didnot even know who is he and he has done Band Baja Barat. I was overwhelmed. 2 things that stayed forever was the music and Ranveer..I watched BBB after that and bread pakode ki kasam if some filmy people's son gave that performance it would have been touted as The best acting debut!!!! Next was Ram Leela and I was a Deepika fan by then and I really thought Ranveer was better in acting but got overshadowed by Deepika's aura. But Bajirao and Padmavaat were on another level. These two movies made all the differences.. He has has flamboyance, unconventional acting poweress which separates him from other mainstream heros.. Purely on the basis of acting, glamour, hotness he is the best in generation for me. Stardom he will be there someday..at top.. Finger crossed for that

Ranveer's career was going nowhere until BM happened. But when BM beated Dilwale at the box office, everyone got stunned. A young star had beaten a Superstar, that too a Khan at the box office. No one actually thought that before the release. Dilwale was a commercial entertainer, while BM was a period drama which is not a very favorite genre of the audience. And as it was SRK who was defeated by him, the fans of rival stars who hate SRK started using Ranveer as a means to troll him...like calling RS a bigger star than SRK, even if they didn't mean it. Some people even started taking it seriously.

But I agree though about Ranveer-Ranbir getting more than their fair share of media attention when we have other wonderful actors/stars who are doing an equally a good job! People are desperate to see these two as the next big things now that the Khans are fading away!

only movie i liked ranveer's acting was band baaja baarat, him and anushka had great chemistry, never really appreciated his chemistry with deepika, tattad tattad was embarrasing to watch for me. has had these big production houses yash chopra, slb etc and has been given the most opportunities, i think even more than ranbir and varun but really never was the reason for the movie to be a success, khilji had the most scenes but deepika truly was the reason for people to go to the theater for padmavati, deepika, supriya pathak outshone him in ram leela and my opinion priyanka deepika outshone him in bajirao

Other than Khilji, his acting has been good. Infact he is under rated, but yes he has a long road ahead.

He is overrated AF...He is a good actor no doubt but he is so hyper all the time that he needs a very good director who can calm him down otherwise Khilji and tattad tattad and Befikre happens...He was a little bit calmer in BM though...otherwise SLB brings the worst out of him or for any actor in that matter...because SLB is a bloody interior designer and not a director..🤢..but anyways...Veeru's best performance so far is Lootera...because the director was awesome and could tame Veeru down...I still can't believe that SLB made him do Khalibali..😵

No he is not over-rated he can act and get into the skin of the character

Nope I don't think he is overrated, he is very versatile and literally can pull off any role, may that be the Delhi boy in BBB or the evil sultan in padmavat, with each film his acting is getting stronger and alot of his roles are memorable, he leaves an impression
