But she was something and is something without the Bacchan tag, unlike Shweta. Yes, she had strings of flops. So was Kareena. But both managed their hype. Kareena had a Kapoor tag. Aish managed without that surname (pre marriage).

Yes. Her beauty, Ms. World crown are not because of her hard work. But many people could not achieve what she achieved having similar beauty and crown.

She did not get Guru because of Bacchans. (She was not dating Abhishek yet). She debuted in Tamil movie of Maniratnam though she had opportunities in Bollywood. That won her good will of Mani. Again Guru getting hit was not because of Bacchans.
If whatever Aish got is because of Bacchan surname, why couldn't Abhi become a superstar?

I have not watched Heroine. Only those who have watched can say, whether it could have been a difficult job for a pregnant lady (or Madhur overhyped the situation). Anyway, at that stage Aish would not have been in a mood for legal battle. She had struggled to become a mother. She probably did not want further stress.

Comparison between Jaya and Aishwarya.
No doubt, Jaya's acting power is more than Aishwarya's limited talent. But Jaya was not a superstar. She might have been a bigger star than Amitabh during her wedding. But Amitabh was not Big B then. Jaya never matched Hemamalini's or Rekha's stardom in her time. Aishwarya (in her prime) was never less than her contemporaries in stardom.

I don't mean to say Jaya is insecure. She is not. In fact she was highly possessive, getting aggressive with journalists for calling her Aish.
It is just that, she loves her daughter more than her daughter in law. Which mother does not?

Same with Aishwarya. After her father passed away, she always takes her mother with her daughter for events. Not mother in law. We don't find anything wrong. Every daughter is most comfortable with her mother.

We know, petty fights are not a big thing in families. If Shweta had not invited Karishma for the event, if she had not snubbed Aishwarya over Karishma, many would not have bothered to discuss her (Shweta).

In short Aish was way more without the Bacchan surname then Shweta will ever be even with it. People are mistaking the reason for the mocking. It's not because she is starting a career at 50. It's because whatever little she accomplishes ( if she accomplishes anything )will be because she is Bacchan. Abhi got similar mocking. Yes people without degrees can still accomplish their dreams but if it's a field like writing or designing. Not having a degrees is a hindrance. She doesnt have the appearance to model even though she has somewhat.

It seems like the Bachchans don't treat Aish as well as they should publicly and that really bothers me, especially Big B but everything about him bothers me ;). We don't know the truth though and maybe the marriage has struggled and they see it as some kind of loyalty to Jr. which I would still disagree with, I think they should publicly support her as she has done for them.
As far as the criticism of Shweta, I don't like her clothes, thought her ramp walk with the weird hand motions and feathers was ridiculous, and by and large didn't care for her newspaper articles BUT I admire her for the courage and drive it takes to try those things when she must know most people are going to ridicule her if she fails or say it's because of her father if she succeeds. She didn't choose her parents. She is who she is, so what should she do? Just never try anything, do absolutely nothing or party all night and spend her husband's riches?

I am all for starting new careers and all taht...but If Shweta wants to be truly "independent" then they did she invite her whole family and a bunch of famous people to the launch of her business?
Why cant her work speak for itself? Obviously having all these people there will attract the media and attention. Why cant she get that on her own?

Anushka launched a clothing line and Shahid did too - I didnt see them inviting any big people?

Its been few days I wanted to open a topic about this. Why she hates Aish so much? You can Aish the way she behave its like a mature women who js grounded around her family or event and on other hand the other look like a jhalkukri.

Shweta teamed with a designer with work experience and seems to give her her share of credit. Like it or not Shweta brings visibility to the company (which likely at least right now is most of what she brings) it makes sense her partner would expect her to use it. People do this kind of thing all the time, it's just more visible in BW. In what business is it not smart to network and then use those connections? She got a head start by her birth but many of these stars she has cultivated with a lifetime or at least years of friendship (probably genuine) so she has her own connections to many of these people, why would she not call them? And had she not, someone would have been cribbing about that or spreading rumors her family doesn't care about her and BW hates her, etc.

As far as the Aish thing goes, I don't think they care for each other and I don't think Shweta is much for faking. She literally shook hands with her (I assume it's safe to say estranged?) husband and only after thought about a hug. She didn't inherit the acting or nauseatingly fake Bachchan genes I guess. Sorry I cannot stand Big B and feel sorry for his kids for just being his kids.

Shaitan - I don't remember Shahid or Anushka's launch but do you seriously think the Birla's partnered with Shahid for his designing skills? I don't. I think they wanted him for his celebrity, nothing more or less. Yes, Shahid chose to and worked to become a celebrity. Shweta just happened to be born a celebrity but that is her reality, she can't undo it. Her choosing not to use it because she isn't responsible for it is similar to Aish refusing to enter a beauty pageant because she isn't responsible for her beauty. Or you refusing to accept an inheritance because you are not responsible for it. The list could go on. We all should be grateful for and make the most of the gifts we are given.

^Same goes for Deepika and Anushka's clothing lines. What design skills do they have? None. They just have celebrity names and their fans might buy clothes that they are associated with.

Ash was lucky to be born with her looks and made full use of her beauty to get ahead. What's the big deal if Shweta uses the name that she was born with?

It's obvious that both Ash and Shweta don't like each other and it's fine. Ash showed up hanging off Abhishek's arm but she didn't even wear Shweta's clothes. She wore ugly blingy Abu Sandeep. Shweta also didn't bother to pretend she likes her. They tolerate each other for Abhishek.

One is the product of hardwork and another one is the product of nepotism. Period.

Difference was Shahid and Anu alone can bring a company visibility. Meanwhile Shweta needs the entire Bacchan clan !

And it takes more than beauty to win a pageant nearly all contestants at a Miss Universe or Miss World pageants are beautiful. But not all of them walk away with crowns. Nor have all crowned beauty pageant title holders made it as far as Aish.

Monisha Jaising with whom Shweta collaborated for MxS, is a well established and famous designer. A lot of celebs already wear her clothes. Her own name is enough to sell a clothing line. In the recently concluded LFW 2018 Kareena was the showstopper for her collection. I really don't think a star kid like Shweta could bring any more visibility to this line other than her surname. Also Shweta is not famous for being a fashionista like other socialites Natasha Poonawalla, Kalyani Saha.

And celebs like DP, Anushka and Sonam could sell clothes by merely lending their name. That is the USP of their clothing lines. Highly doubt Shweta could do that.

People keep talking about the 'talented' Ms Rai.
Kya talent hai? Koi mujhe bhi bata do? She sucks at everything she does...acting, fashion, public speaking etc. 😆

Her fans love to portray her as this Innocent divine angel. She's an ice maiden. An extremely manipulative one at that. Just ask Rajeev mulchandani, Salman Khan and especially Vivek Oberoi.

Also this world famous fiction is getting old. Being on a couple of talk shows & endorsing a make up brand doesn't make anyone world famous and even if that was the case a long time ago, it's OVER.

Shweta can start a new career, business, hobby at 40 or 50 or 60. It's her damn choice. I'm sure she doesn't need 'the has been' ARB's endorsement either. Her father is enough to start a media circus and grab some eyeballs for the brand.
