A large chunk of Ash's best movies were before the Salman and Vivek scandal - those relationships damaged her career if anything. So, to say that she was manipulative and "needed those controversies is really silly lol

Ash is but it's okay for Salman to be a criminal. No one has any anger towards his deeds but Ash is the worst lol. This precisely is the problem.

Why is an icon like Ash being compared to someone who don't even have an identity of her own.

Really? Are we comparing Shweta and Ash? Shweta is a privileged starkid who still gets to do whatever she wants. Suddenly she feels like she's a writer, she's given a column in a major newspaper even though she has no past records of any writing work (and her columns were truly terrible). Now she is writing a book and got a publishing house to publish it, because privilege and power. She opens a clothing line with absolutely nothing inspiring but still will get work just like the awful designs of Gauri Khan, just because privilege and power.

We are still talking about Aishwarya 25 years after she debuted only because she's been able to keep herself relevant and popular on her own. She never had to make her husband produce movies for her like some of her contemporaries. She did it all on her own. Just don't attribute it to beauty, because we all know there is no dearth of beautiful women in the industry, yet very few make it. Take Dia Mirza for example, such a stunner. But no takers. She's definitely used her beauty to enter the game, worked on her craft and made maverick directors like Mani Ratnam repeat her in his movies (which is rare). I honestly don't know why she is putting up with her in-laws. Perhaps for Abhishek's sake. But it's still not worth it.

Like it or not Shweta brings visibility to the company (which likely at least right now is most of what she brings) it makes sense her partner would expect her to use it. People do this kind of thing all the time, it's just more visible in BW. In what business is it not smart to network and then use those connections? She got a head start by her birth but many of these stars she has cultivated with a lifetime or at least years of friendship (probably genuine) so she has her own connections to many of these people, why would she not call them? And had she not, someone would have been cribbing about that or spreading rumors her family doesn't care about her and BW hates her, etc.

As far as the Aish thing goes, I don't think they care for each other and I don't think Shweta is much for faking. She literally shook hands with her (I assume it's safe to say estranged?) husband and only after thought about a hug. She didn't inherit the acting or nauseatingly fake Bachchan genes I guess. Sorry I cannot stand Big B and feel sorry for his kids for just being his kids.

Shaitan - I don't remember Shahid or Anushka's launch but do you seriously think the Birla's partnered with Shahid for his designing skills? I don't. I think they wanted him for his celebrity, nothing more or less. Yes, Shahid chose to and worked to become a celebrity. Shweta just happened to be born a celebrity but that is her reality, she can't undo it. Her choosing not to use it because she isn't responsible for it is similar to Aish refusing to enter a beauty pageant because she isn't responsible for her beauty. Or you refusing to accept an inheritance because you are not responsible for it. The list could go on. We all should be grateful for and make the most of the gifts we are given.

Other than probably Big B, i dont think any of them are good at Faking. Jaya, Shweta, Abhishek all of them make a fool of their family tiffs in full media glare getting into arguments, making faces, walking off etc. 😆
