I didn't find Akki disappointing, IMO he did a fine job of taking the story far without trying to overtake screen time.

But than again opinions and views, sabki apni apni hoti hai.

such poor collections despite so many holidays

reema is so overrated..she ruined talaash and now the numbers or lack of for Gold indicate clear rejection of content

these half baked content movies have started using holidays now to get some numbers..i say this to all brilliant directors..whether it is a meghna with a raazi..or anyone else..clash with them and tear them apart..a raazi on 2 big holidays would have crossed 170..

they are ruining people's holidays..they go watch a movie coz it is holiday and then regret it..that is all what has been happeing on festives off late..we need good content movies to have festive release..clash with them and tear them apart..content is the king

I think Akki has exhausted the patriotic themed films so I'm not surprised at the response. Reema is not a bad director but I think she needed a stronger actor to get past the weaknesses.

Reema is not a bad director. Its Akki who is overrated both as an actor and a star. I still cant believe this guy won an NA 🤪 Hopefully this puts an end to his pseudo patriotic films.

I don't think it matters though. Akki will keep doing these pseudo patriotic/social commentary type films and insert one random Houseful sequel in between. He will be hailed as a big star and both husband and wife have anyway got both right wing and left wing covered. He will keep having those occasional affairs and his wife will keep writing those columns full of 'wit'. Life is set. Akki is a lot smarter than he lets on 😆

P.S. Yes Ranbir sucks. He is a player. He delivered Bombay Velvet. Before someone quotes and says this, am saying it myself 😆

@RR: Akki is a big star though, it is not like he is a forced big star, you not getting his hype, doesn't mean he isn't a star. After Khans, he is the most reliable one. And I don't get what is wrong in doing nationalism movies like Baby, Airlift, Gold, Kesari mixing it with social dramas like Padman and TEPK, and also doing comedies like HFs and Hera Pheris in between. Yes sometimes it leds underbaked products like Rustom, but overall he is ensuring good business for BO spreading awareness and good will. His movies is not spreading anti-Islamic or anti-Pakistani stuffs, so I don't get this irritation by some section of audience and media.

Not saying this line for specifically for you, but people have habit of not watching any movies of Akki and behaving like all of his movies are craps and only do well because of BJP appeasing. Not saying only Akki is bashed in that way as for some people Zero is already puke worthy, Bharat is already another Tube light, Bharmastra is already the next BV, Simbaa is already terrible and Sui Dhaga is already blah.

Lastly, don't worry Ranbir will not be trolled because of you, were you not declared a fake Ranbir fan by some true, pure and perfect Ranbir fans😆.

He is a big star. No denying that. The concept of star power is overrated but he is definitely a star. Except I think he is pretty mediocre both in terms of stardom as well as acting . Also I have never found his films exceptional. The last ones I truly enjoyed were OMG and Special 26. But thats just me. I never got his appeal both in terms of looks as well as acting. Its subjective so I guess we can agree to disagree 😆
