It was not a dig. Just an observation she made and it wasn't sly either she was pretty much blatant about what she felt and said.

I actually think Alia is a talented actress and makes good use of the opportunities given to her in most cases. So she should probably just acknowledge the privilege and let it go. So she's basically said Karan has given Alia her career on a platter and she doesn't have to worry because the best always comes to her? There's no way she didn't know what she saying and how this is very pointed, it's surprising. It's true, for sure, but very passive aggressive sounding as well. Lol I wonder how Alia will take it.

I think she knew what she was doing when she said this. That is something you dont talk about in public...the opportunity thing for actresses. even rajeev mentioned karan lobbied dear zindagi for her. people do get upset about it...people will always praise her for her good perfromances. but they defintiely do get upset when you are just given everything on a platform...

WOW!!WOW!!! And just WOW!! Kudos to Aish for saying this. Honestly speaking I was tired of people who were speaking highly of Alia whenever they were asked. They would always mention she is talented, good blah blah but NO ONE...I repeat NO ONE mentioned that how privileged she is!! I thought Kangana would speak about it but she disappointed me as she too didn't say anything like everyone else but Aish said it and how well did she say!!

Ash is going through a midlife crisis. Bragging about being first choice for roles from 20 years ago, bringing up Salman's name herself when earlier she would refuse to acknowledge him and making shady comments about people. She's dying to go back to a time when she was popular.

Alia got the same type of opportunities as your husband, Ash. After 15 flops, he still had YRF to rescue him with Dhoom. He had acclaimed directors like Mani Ratnam giving him movies when he had nothing to show.

She was offered films by SRK including HNY and others too so try to be shady? She was the one who turned it down to help out her useless hubby. She made bad choices and decisions unlike Alia who knows how to make the best of her opportunities. Ash had all those opportunities too according to her own bragging but instead she chose to do complete trash like Jazba, Sarbjit and Fanney Khan. She needs help. 😆

people were talking other actresses need to step up. how they gonna step up when they don't have the ladder? I can never support Aliya bcoz of the help she got. yes she earned fanbase but it's easy when u have the best scripts even before u made it big

But then it is true that actors interfere in the casting unless the director is a Hirani or SLB. And if they are superstars like Aamir, Salman or SRK, then they get their way with literally everything. Am sure the younger actors interfere to an extent too. I see nothing wrong with what she pointed out. And I dont think its a dig at SRK in particular. Its a generic comment she made about actors meddling with the casting which is absolutely true. Good on her for pointing it out instead of giving a diplomatic response.

No, it's absolutely not meddling when they produce their own films. They are the boss and it's their money so of course they have say over all aspects. What is wrong or shocking about that? It's natural and correct to oversee the big decisions when it's your own movie.

If they were dictating to other producers, then it makes sense to be upset about it because it's not their place.
