To make Alia into this mahaan person and dismiss all her contemporaries is unfair. Every actor brings something to the table Alia isn't a a typical commercial heroine she lacks in beauty in comparison with Ash, Madhuri or Juhi etc. She's etched her career on being Kareena no.2 and doesn't have have a killer figure or sex appeal which helps a hindi film heroine. Neither is she a fashionista so she lacks in a lot of departments too. She lacks adaah or grace like a Deepika and caters mainly to teenagers due to her bubbly personality. She's not an actor who can do every kind of role like I can't imagine her in a Veer Zaara type film and neither can she do something like Race or Dhoom.

I suppose she latched on to Brad Pitt too so that he offered her Troy which the foolish woman turned down. But then she would have had to kiss Orlando Bloom and not Brad Pitt so I would have turned it down too.

I suppose the woman latched on to the French too so much so they gave her the second Highest Civilian award. Then the greedy woman latched on to the Indian Government and nagged them until she got the Padma Shri or was it before the French Award ? 😕
