hmm i just dont agree with her contemporaies not pushing their craft. if they got similar films...they would probably own it as well. kriti sanon is not marketed the way alia is so do you expect the audience to love her without her even doing enough work to prove to the audience? those films probably wouldnt do as well maybe...but that doesnt mean future work by her contemporaies wont do just as well. aquiring a fan base takes time...and yes some actors acquire it quicker than others. but that doesnt mean kriti sanon or anyone else wont achieve a fan base that loves them in the FUTURE. so if you are talking about now..then yes, alia isthe front runner. but in 5 years...she may not be.

also all actors push their craft and do their best to fit the character..all alia's contemporaies do. its the role and direction that makes a huge difference. I didn't feel alia pushing her craft when she did shaandaar for example because the film was bad. if you ask me, she was playing her self. craft shines through when direction, role, and script is superior. being loved is different. I wont deny that alia is loved more than her contemporaies. but with time and more work..if the films they do are good. they will also reach that level.

I'm not commenting on Alia's contemporaries because I haven't watched any of their movies 😆 I started watching BW movies again last year after not watching anything for 8 years. I started by binge-watching Alia's movies. Then I found out that she is suppose to be one of the most talented. And when I compare her acting to that of US TV shows which is what I mostly watch she's not as good as those actors. So I thought if she's the best then her competition must be bad right? And I've attempted watching some of Shraddha's Ek Villain scenes on youtube and it was an instant turn off. I've made a To watch list of BW movies that have got critical acclaim so I will be watching a few with her contemporaries as I make my way through the list.

@tara it is not like kriti hasnt got films. Bareilly ki barfi gave her a lot of potential. She debuted with srk n kajol so that was a good opportunity to gain fans. She should go out n do more ads n try to market herself which she is not doing. She simply doesnt have the kind of spark that alia does and its not because she is hyped up. Yes she has Kjo's backing but u cant take away her own talent from her success. Shraddha is also a nepo kid and is an apt example of nepotism. She has got ample chances to prove herself and yet has failed to make her mark in acting. Shes known more for singing. I can understand ppl saying that she is a nepo kid and being shoved down our throats but when ppl say that alia is being forced upon us its just laughworthy. And btw, just in the previous comment u denied that alia is loved more than others. So now if u agree, my point is proven. Im not even talking about the future, why predict something which ur not sure of. Im talking about the current scenario in BW. Alia is miles ahead of others and the only ones i see possibly threatening her in future are Jahnvi n Sara.

She is loved more from the newcomers because of the movies she has done. Loved meaning she is more hyped and popular only CURRENTLY.
But honestly she has no X factor imo. She will never reach that level Priyanka or deepika has. Now those are two actresses who are way more loved than her. Kriti has not done enough films..what makes you think she can't acquire a fan base? Star power and potential is all about longetivity. I like how people act like thee can only be one star actress. Do you think alia will be the only star from her generation 5 years from now? I don't think the audience will even accept that. Remember how long it took deepika and Priyanka to reach where they are today. There is potential growth for all her contemporaries mark

Also you are the one who's predicting with actresses not even making a debut 😃 but I agree with you that Alia is ahead right now. But that doesn't take away from others work and position in the future. I stand by that because I have observed short term hype and success means nothing for superstardom. I rest my case.

Yea I get what you are saying. She is doing the best work and that may be backed by facts but it also backed by kjo I guess too. 😃
