Ek Hasina Thi , is one of my most favourite show in recent time. The BG score of SHkashi Goenka still plays in my head sometimes.

Suno Chanda, Visaal, Dil Lagi, Ali Allah Aur Insan (a bit stretched), Laal Ishq (minus the last episode), Yakeen Ka Safar were really good. Upcoming Aangan (starring Ahad Raza Mir) is promising too

Out of the ones you mentioned, I have only watched Yakeen ka Safar.. It was good, liked everyone's acting especially Ahad's..
I am not complaining about Pakistani serials, but the ones which I have seen or heard of mostly revolve around the same themes as the Indian ones, just that they a short condensed version.. Even in Yakeen ka Safar the heroine was haalat ki maari till the very end.. Just wanted to know if there is experiment with different concepts. like revenge drama, thriller, mystery or youth based shows...

Most of Pakistani shows are not seen on the lines of Game of Thrones with twists turns or plots that will blow up mind. People mainly like it for dialogues and the slice of life subtle moments. If dialogues are good then people normally like and appreciate the serials here in Pakistan.

replied in my previous post!

They are not experimenting it with these genres due to limited budget and time frame as they have to wind up the series. Also, the shows should be related to our culture. Shows which were over dramatized dont get much appreciation. Right now, the serials are made on social issues.

Dont go for star cast, go for the writers if you want to watch any serial. Khalil ur Rehman Qamar is really good with dialouges but his story lines are weak. Farhat Ishtiaq writes romantic serials. Umera Ahmed picks up social issues and spirituality. But if you switch on tv and start watching any crap then you will get the message as all serials are made on the same lines.

Another thing is, the treatment, clothes and sets are natural and real hence it gives the impression that its the same old and have been seen already. In any case I wont complain much about Pakistani Serials, some are really really good with mind blowing performances and awesome dialouges. There are some faces who will do the same shit again and again like the twin sisters Minal and Aiman Khan 😆

thats why I am saying you need to pick better shows 😆 the ones I have mentioned had very different plots even from each other. Again it mostly depends on your taste. I approve any serial if there are some good moments with excellent dialogues and good performances. YKS was not mind blowing but it was good. Same is the case with Sang e Mar Mar. I forgot to add Udaari in the list.

Since I have no idea about the writers in Pakistan, I mostly pick up shows if there is a known face in it.. The last one I picked was Sammi because I knew Mawra from STK.. That's were I liked Ahad and then picked YKS 😆
Didn't like it much, fast forwarded and watched most of the time.. I thought the heroine will raise her voice against the Vani tradition but end tak woh roti hi rahi 😕 The culprit also got punished bcoz he had a change of heart.. Social issue wahi ka wahi reh gaya..
Udaari is also about a social issue right? Heard about it.. but it has Mawra's sister in lead so little apprehensive after Sammi :P

Sony TV shows are simple & beautiful but don't get trps

Pak shows are all about rona dhona except Suno chanda & ZGH

Suno chanda is amazing BTW

Agree, there are good shows but due to low TRPs they are pulled off too early.
Now even if they bring good content on TV it wont work because most of the youth has moved onto Netflix and Amazon Prime... at least we get good desi content there..
Also it has opened so many opportunities for good actors and youtubers.. Mithila Palkar got noticed from Girl in the city series(which I liked btw - 1st season was really good) and now she has movie with Irfan.. Youtubers like Sejal and Megha got noticed and now they have series called Engineering Girls I guess.. Good actors..

Sony TV shows especially YRF ones were too damn fine yaar.. so classy..
Completed Rishta.com and Mahi way.. now onto Khotey Sikkay.. Anyone watched it? Is it good?

yeah Udaari is good and she is better than Mawra 😆 but dont like any of them 😆 I agree with you some parts become repetitive.

Also if you are aware of 'Peer' culture then I would highly recommend you to watch Dumpukht Atish e Ishq. It was mind blowing 😳 with suspense and the main protagonist becomes head strong. Jackson Heights is highly recommended too 😃
