And now TV has set out to ruin good movies too. Saw a news article of them remaking Jab We Met on TV! 😡
Leaving the content aside, look at the quality of acting too. Some of actors ruling the roost in TV are simply unbelievable! They are deemed as the best actors in the industry by their fans, but their acting is pathetic! 😆

These shows look promising in the start (especially Ekta's shows) but then they start adding such nonsensical tracks that viewers feel they are making fun of their intelligence by watching these shows. Just they need TRP to continue and no matter what happens then, they assume people want to watch the show and love such idiotic tracks. Ekta herself said how viewers don't want to watch sensible shows where the wife doesn't tolerate infidelity and moves on but they can watch how a wife gets insulted and beaten up by the husband and runs after him from start to end.

Now again when good shows like Khichdi go off air due to low TRP, we can only assume that nothing will change till this TRP is not considered as an important factor. Zindagi was shut down due to the same reason. Channels like SP and Colors take off web series as well due to low TRP like how they did with Sarabhai.

The myriad ichhadhari creatures were still bearable, because the story was intriguing with its mystery and suspense. They did one major blunder, however, and that is to make one of the two female leads pitch-black negative.

Few Good shows in recent times
Tamanna
Dehleez
POW
Dil Sambhal Ja Zaara
Meri Awaz hi Pehchan hai

None worked in rating charts were closed before time, whom to blame? Makers? Audience? Channel? or The whole TRP System?

bold ones ran their course. They were supposed to be finite shows lasting for 3-6months. Dil sambhal ja zara was the only show that got shut way too early.

Actually there still are some good shows on the main channels but you have to find them, you have to know how to look for them. Sometimes the promos hint at how they will be, sometimes u read the synopsis and find good shows.
Like right now there are a few good ones on Sony:

1) Yeh Pyar nahin toh Kya hai- Mix of love story and revenge, mysterious deaths and shady deals in big business, its very interesting. Hero-heroine are a little stiff but being their debut its understandable and they are improving everyday. Direction is good, most of the actors are good, situations are believable. Best is the outfits are realistic, not OTT, people wear clothes just as they would at home or at work. Have to watch it from the beginning to appreciate and understand whats happening now.

2) Yeh Un dinon ki Baat hai- Cheesy teenage school/college romance, but this throwback 90s story is full of nostalgic gems for 90s people, the girl's family has some colorful and interesting characters with their original idiosyncrasies, the boy's best friends are clownish and funny, it shows real loyalty and genuine friendships for both the boys and girls.

On Star Plus there was Rishton Ka Chakravyuh which got very interesting from a few episodes onwards, all good actors were there in the cast, story had lots of suspense and drama of a rural aristocratic family and how their abandoned at birth daughter returns to challenge their outdated traditions and mentality. Narayani Shastri and Mahima Makwana were mother daughter duo crossing each other in a bitter face-off, hero and side actors were all great too. But then dumb old SP shut down the show abruptly and started the most lowbrow political comedy in its place.
