My sis happily changed her name post marriage not because she loved BIL that much but because BIL's last name is Depp. My sis is a Johnny Depp fan. Poor BIL he still laughs about it 🤣

All those complaining still don't get what feminism is about. SMH.

I've seen a colleague change her name too as the entire families name starts in A and they made her change their name. I guess it happens in Maharashtrians as my boss too had to change her name but mostly it was as she converted from Muslim to Maharashtrian.

But since they are not following old traditions, they should stop making it compulsory to add Husband's surname and it should be the girl's choice.

no they are not. The S stands for his father goals would him taking her birth name not adding a small s for the fake purpose of her interview. Sonam cud have said her choice she wanted to admitting being a doormat is better than faking being sth she has never been

I feel awkward seeing celebs changing their name after marriage coz after some lovey dovey years they get divorce and its even more awkward then. Also these names change arent official. Media abd they will write these online not that they are changing these names for NID & Passports 😆
