Now I can post my favorite songs in this category, which are many. But the "king of intoxication", IMO, has to be Johnny Walker. Ironic considering he was a tee-totaller in real life. He has so many "nashe mein dhut" songs picturized on him. And Rafi was such a apt playback for him, he had perfected his "Johnny Walker" voice so much so you just had to hear a song to know it'd be picturized on Johnny Walker!
this one's for you LB..love it...

MinzPie ..Thank you! 🤗I was going to post this song next but you beat me to it. I love the weirdness of this tune--it goes all over the place in the antara before it comes back to the mukhda 😆, as only Salilda can do. And Rafi has done such a great job on it. Kinda makes me wish Salilda had used Rafi more. I wonder what his peeve was with Rafi? I love the songs from Madhumati he sung and also the ones from Maya.Btw, MinzPie, Can Tu kahan ye bata be really considered a song of intoxication? Or did you post it because he sings "iss nasheeli raat mein"? The title song from this movie (which is an absolute delight!) is probably a more apt fit for this theme.

A fabulous swinging tune composed by O.P Nayyar and superbly sung by Rafi and Mannadey, with one cautioning the other about the evils of drinking, while the other lives in denial 😆!Lyrics by Hasrat Jaipuri are chuckle-worthy😆Dekh saamne Havaldaar haiAgar pakad liya bedapaar haijail mein kategi phir to saari zindagi
