Why did actress like Preity Zinta disappear from Bollywood?

Because actresses 'like Priety' can only act cute and people after a while get disinterested and latch on to the next cute bubbly girl. She couldn't act for nuts aside from being bubbly and THATS why she disappeared from Bollywood.

Kajol is senior to preity
Kajol belongs to batch of karishma,Raveena,Juhi,Madhuri,Manisha,Sonali bendre.

Aish,sushmita,preity,rani,kareena, bipasha, in one group

It's a difference of just 5 years.Kajol and Preity were very much active in later years of that decade.Aish,Preity and Kajol are of the same age group.

If actress like Kajol and Aish renowned for their screeching can get offers why Preity couldn't manage?

I know the jury is still out on Kajol/Ash's acting...but you cant deny their body of work. Kajol has done great work ( Gupt, Dushman, KKHH, Fanaa etc etc)...Ash (HDDCS, Taal, Raincoat, Devdas, Jodha Akbar etc etc)

What has Preity done? She was okay in Kya Kehna, but it mainly worked because people felt sorry for the cute knocked up girl 😆 She was okay in Kal Ho Na Ho, SN, KANK -but here acting never left a mark.

I know Kajol/Ash can get screechy, but I personally believe they both are capable of ACTING and giving a good performance.

Preity could never do a Gupt, Devdas, Raincoat or even a Fanaa. She doesnt have the talent nor the dept. Okay forget acting - Preity does not have superstar status, which Aishwarya does, and to some extent so does Kajol. They are really big stars with strong fan bases. I barely ever see anyone on this forum who is a Preity fan let alone on any other sociail media outlets.

I wont even get into Rani because the movie Black alone destroys everything Preity has ever done 😆

I really wish Aishwarya did Zaara's role, it wouldve been so frickign awesome to see Rani-Ash-Srk!

Priety was meh.

Just like Anushka, always "the next year is her year."

Let us not overrate her by comparing her with Kajol(acting wise) or Aish(popularity).

One of my FAV of all of the actresses was her. Preity Zinta. Her beautiful with deep dimples and she was gorgeous before she totally ruined her face.

Sad, i do miss her on screen, but would never want to watch her horrendous botched-up face again in a movie. She just ruined it for me.

Acting wise, she is okay for me. She has her limits, but she is good compared the actresses that of today.

Things went downhill fast for her post JBJ. That movie tanked so badly despite having blockbuster music. She got even more forthright/arrogant during that time. She was headlining that movie cos she was coming off of VZ and Abhishek... Don't remember. In KWK she took digs at Rani alluding to the fact that Shaad Ali kept his Bunty and improved on Bubbly. Even with her dimples that came on as super catty.

Then she went on and said she was really disappointed at the award shows cos she didn't understand how she didn't get best actress for VZ and Rani got it for Hum Tum. I understood her frustration cos Zaara was a role like Chandni for a heroine, once in a lifetime and something you should forever be known for. Her bad luck was Rani just slayed that year. Literally swept every best actress trophy for HT and supporting actress for VZ. Got like 3 of the golden filmfare statues cos it was filmfare's 50th year. Pretty was hard to look at at the award shows tbh.

Plus after JBJ royally tanked she was suddenly awol. Almost after a year I read she was doing MBA, which after a few years got revealed as coke rehab. By that time she had not only broken up with Ness but also engaged in ugly legal battles with him. It was quite literally damning for her image.

I feel sorry for her. I still remember her lyril and perk ads. She was so mesmerising in dil se, soldier, mission kashmir, DCH etc. Whenever rani and she'd star together in a movie, I'd hardcore root for her. Alas she succumbed to the deadly coke addiction.
