Not just the two of you. I was a kid when I first saw the movie and remember all my family members laughing and making fun of Salman when the crying scene started 😆

I liked both men.

When I watched this film first, I was a kid ..So that time, I was so invested in Sameer-Nandini, couldn't root for Vanraj-Nandini ..But Vanraaj's selfless sacrifice, his behaviour made me feel bad for him..

I couldn't root for Vanraj-Nandini before because watching so many movies about true love..I used to think if two people truly love each other, they shouldn't separate and should get back together even if they separate...
But slowly I started understanding, true couples, loving couples too separate.. ..And start loving another person
Life happens, break ups happen..circumstances happen

I can watch films like dhadkan, hddcs and enjoy now...Otherwise I used to hate such films

This is just my guess

I think in those days, Indian audience, an average Indian moviegoer wouldn't have liked to see a married woman leave her husband esp a loving caring one

The ending was ;perfect... I could never root for Sameer Nandini.. Their love just seemed too shallow, more like an infatuation or something to do with physical intimacy kind.. Vanraj was an epitome of selflessness.. Even in reality, a girl would always choose someone like Vanraj

Dont know why people feel like laughing each time Salman cries.Same happened during Tubelight. 😆

No not married...I wanted Sameer-Nandini to unite even after her marriage with Vanraaj...As it was shown Sameer-Nandini loved each other so passionately, their romance was shown, they looked so good together..
I used to think true love happens only once...Like Shahrukh's dialogue ...Hum ek baar jeete hain, ek baar marte hain, pyar bhi ek hi baar hota hai..
I used to think like that...Those who love each other, they meet ..They have to meet and destiny will make them meet even if they separate lol...
Silly thoughts

I was rooting for vanraj-nandini though i love salman-ash chemistry...they look so beautiful together n that point of time i didn't know they were in love for real too..vanraj's character is so subtle n selfless...ajay completely lived the soul of vanraj...i could not believe an action star like ajay can play a selfless romantic character...if i was nandini..i would not leave a husband like vanraj...my first love sameer i will accept it as a decision made by god n always gives sameer a special corner in my heart as he is my first love but life has to move on

Oh it was coming on telly today!! Vanraaj. Any bloody day though he wasn't ambitious but his goodness would win anyone over. Even though he first fell for THAT face, he truly did love Nandini. <3

Sameer is that annoying man-child that you meet 2 decades later & thank your stars you've had nothing to do with him, since.
