Ummm PC was definitely middle-class. Especially in comparison to DP who had glamorous family friends & enough money to see an UMC life.

Frosty: I meant in terms of talent & his extended family, I know he isn't Pankaj's son. I know he saw a hard time when he was a child but I doubt he was actually "middle-class" ever since Shahid became a *... As I said, I think their definitions aren't of the real world but of BW.

Is his dad Rajesh Khattar that acted in Behyadh as Maya's dad?

PC's dad not only worked in the army but was also a doctor. I'm pretty sure she had access to the best education. Middle class parents don't send their kids to the US without a serious struggle. I'm not sure how much money a badminton player can earn even at top Phase esp in India , keeping tournaments abroad aside. The army comes with a lot of benefits.

I went to a comedy show 2 years ago. The comedian(that same show is on Amazon Prime too) asked the audience raise your hand if you are rich and nobody raised their hand and he said he'd done this so many times but nobody ever raised their hand anywhere. Most people settle for an upper middle class. His next sentence was hilarious but hard hitting too- He said if you can afford this show or any such form of entertainment then you are definitely not middle class. You visit Starbucks and shizz and yet you call yourselves middle class is funny coz given the demographics of this country, there are more than 60% who cannot afford it.

Doctor in the army. They moved around in India at different army bases... obviously this is a middle class lifestyle. Priyanka's aunts immigrated to the US and she lived with them for a couple years in their low income neighborhood and attended a public school. Prakash Padukone is royalty in Bangalore... he probably made more money at 1 hour ribbon cuttings than doctors made in a month.

Bafflingtulip: Lmaoo, lots of people who are normal middle class in india can get good education. This isn't the US. DP's Dad earned quite a lot. He was the top badminton player of his times & they're rumoured to have had atleast a few bungalows + influence pre- DP fame. Sid Mal was known to DP since she was a child because of her Dad & his fame. So at the least, they were upper-middle. Unlike PC who was solidly middle-class. Pc has a lot of relatives in the US & she stayed with them too. Army is a normal, good career but benefits the bureaucracy brings in India, not as much the Army.

Yes because his family isn't middle-class since he became a * 😆 Doesn't mean they couldn't have been pre-Shahid fame when Mira would've been a pre-teen. 😆
