Desperation will get you nowhere. Desperation is an unattractive quality. People who are desperate will either get shunned or find themselves attractive predatory or abusive people who exploit desperation.

Learn to be content with yourself. Find happiness within. Treat yourself as a complete human who has value without a partner. Things will fall in place automatically.

Women prefer good guys to settle down , bad guys otherwise .. Most men desire to be "otherwise" .. And there is the problem in a nutshell .. Most of our actions are governed by what the other gender finds attractive as we try to mould ourselves to fit into those expectations ..

It is not illogical to assume that fantasy series like Twilight or even problematic Indian daily soaps with its cray cray female fan following is a reflection ( though far fetched ) real life expectations .. Art imitates life & vice versa ..

Downright denying it or making absurd claims of it being "illogical" is no way to acknowledge "the problem" .. As long as you keep doing that , you are never going to see any real change .. Its like ostrich ducking its head into sand .. 😆

However , what I do agree on is art as a medium can help to either tackle this problem or worsen it altogether ( it has done both ) .. I would prefer if its the former ..But why depend on movies ? .. Parenting is the corner stone of character building .. You set a good example for your children / younger siblings / younger generation and half the problem goes away ( I would say more than half actually ) ..

Ideal man is a myth ..

Women like stability in a marriage / long term relationship .. Rich guys and/or good guys will score there .. Therefore , if you have enough money , you are not even required to have a decent character , so why would anyone even bother making an effort there ? .. Trump ..😆

I think movies take stalking to hyper level and make it so exaggerated that it becomes abusive , violent behavior.

That said , stalking is shown in movies bcz stalking actually works.(again not talking about psycho kkkiran Wala stalking).

I can not count how many friends and their friends have got girls after girls through this.

With lack of dating culture where most couples are from their work/study place , such problem would arise.

I understand where it comes from. From childhood, we are told never to give up and keep trying. Movies show us that pursuit is romantic. It is an unhealthy message. sometimes you have to accept that you cannot have some things and move on.

Pursue as in proceeding once if she says yes then fine if not move on with your life, too much investment is pointless the right one comes along come what may. In the meantime make your own life functional

Well I don't condone such behavior regardless of the results ..

If the "means" to achieving is unacceptable to me , the success is already tainted ..

I think sometimes even pursuing someone can be confused with stalking on such oversensitive discussion portals .. I see nothing wrong in putting in an effort to woo someone .. Back off the moment you see signs of irritation from your object of affection .. Well, I am too proud to be pursuing someone after rejection anyways .. Kinda like buckbeak the hypogriff ( HP reference ). . 😆
