Not trying to be inconsiderate but I don't get it why his wife is lambasting people and asking them not to speculate, when Irfaan himself spilled the beans on his illness on social media with suspenseful post saying he will share more in coming days?

Arey bhai speculate nahi karna tha to bataya hi kyun? 🤔

Precisely my doubt. BUT, My guess is maybe someone told him that duayein might help, which made him post that.

In that case all he had to do was say "Going through some turbulent times - prayers needed." or something along that lines would suffice, no? You can either be private or public - you cant be both. A perfect example would be Selina Gomez.

They just made a clarification for all the speculation going on in media.

Health problems are difficult to discuss about sometimes, for the patients or their beloved. It is emotionally taxing, and nobody is obliged to divulge any information relating to health.

People should exercise some discretion before speculating about someone's health. Concern about health is one thing, but saying they may be suffering from xyz medical condition is totally a different matter. We know he's suffering, and in pain, how does it matter what medical condition it is? It is natural to wonder, to have questions, but is disrespectful to demand to know and accuse him of seeking publicity.

Agreed. But it was not the people who started discussing based on some baseless rumors. This was straight from his own mouth. And it if it didn't matter what medical condition it was then why did he said he will share in the next coming days? A lot of people including many celebrities are suffering from all kinds of health issues, not everyone chose's to go public, Irfaan did and that is entirely his prerogative but for that they cannot chastise the public.

Irfaan for a very long time tried to hide issues concerning his health. he didn't 'choose to go public' on his own (there's an article saying how he'd hide it, not mention it even if others brought it up). It was people who had been speculating and spreading awful rumors concerning his health, he then tweeted he will share so as to clear the air.

Some health problems are elusive and diagnosis of the said medical condition takes a very very long time. He probably felt he could share before his diagnosis and then couldn't. It's the life of a patient here, of a person who is going through toughest of times in his life. Just when he thought he could share, he probably felt he couldn't after diagnosis. Is that hard to understand? I think life can change entirely in a minute, so what's the life of a patient??

I know what you mean but, all the news article were caring and full of concern towards him so I dont see a point of attacking them as human beings are curious beings and in his initial tweet he did left the room for a lot of speculation based on how it was written. It's completely understandable if he didn't want to divulge later as that's entirely his call but based on the same logic you can't expect others to can or can't do.

I agree. Frankly, the timing was odd. He could have very well waited until ready to share the "full" news.

People weren't speculating his illness, when the entire country was busy with Sridevi! 😛.

By releasing this "teaser", he only fanned more speculation.

Even in IF (the epicenter of discussions) no one opened "speculative" threads on his illness prior to his post.

All the world knew and were content with was the jaundice rationale that was given by Vishal.

I hope he doesn't release the "actual" news just before the release of Blackmail. 😛

I think they're confused themselves which way to poroceed because the diagnosis is new & they've no idea how to proceed forward. Maybe in his shock/trauma he revealed that he is suffering badly & needs prayers but doesn't want to disclose more for privacy/superstitious reasons.
