I have seen these in many movies , maybe happens in real life too

On the deathbed someone tells abc to marry xyz ,

I mean khud toh mar rahe ho , is it fair to ruin others lives?

They used that trick in Indian movies a lot... To create conflict I guess

They are notoriously unimaginative and uncreative

Aur old movies mai ek langda laala hota ta jiska karza hero ki maa ko chukana hota ta.

Jab karza chukta nahi hota ta to laala hero ki maa par gandi najar daalta ta aur maa kehti ti laala bhagwan ke liye mujko chhor do... aur langda laala bolta ta bhagwan ke liye tujko chhor du to main kya khaun prasad.

How is that fair? Of course not. I love my parents but I wouldn't ever marry someone they wanted me to because they are dying. I know that sounds terrible...
