WHY ???

Does anyone here know WHY Rekha always wears sindoor in her maang ? She is not married as far as I know and as per Hindu tradition it's meant only for married woman... This question pops up in my head every time I see her ...latest being Varushaka reception ... Is there anyone here who can put this curiosity of mine at rest ?

She is married but a widow. Her husband committed suicide few months after the wedding. She may be secretly married to someone plus it is her choice. We can't question it.

As far as I remember I think once she said she wears it cause she likes wearing it. Don't think she is married

She might not be the most talented, most versatile actress but she is very shrewd... Kudos to her, she manages to hold people's (including younger gen) interest even today even though she appears onscreen only once in a blue moon.. Once every 5 yrs? But gets front row seats in award functions...
