Isn't her full name Kajlima Mukherjee? So Kajol/Kajal etc r all shortened versions :)

I dont think so kajlima is her real or full name (or is it some joke by you 😕😆)

Her full name is KAAJAL ( the eye makeup thing) in hindi/urdu and KAJOL been pronounced in bengali.

As I told you before it's bcz of the spelling. In her first movie she was introduced to the world with the name spelled as KaJOL. So people started calling her that n that became her screen name.

Everyone calls Disha Paatni, "Disha PaTAni". Cz it spells PaTAni, not Paatni. The difference is Disha corrects everyone when they call her PaTAni, but Kajol didn't as in Bengali her name is pronounced like that.

I already stated it in my way earlier post about the same that in bekhudi's opening credits her name was kajOl, and I assume its been given by her father to producers to use it, as he was a bengali and no one else from her family calls her kajOl.

yes I know its bengali' pronounciation, which no one from her family or film industry uses, everyone calls her KAAJAL only, except we the audience or the media.
