Yeah, I like Ranbir more though.

It's very easy to say Varun right now but the truth is Ranbir is better and he has chosen projects that are risky.

Varun has only worked in "safe movies - SOTY, MTH, HSKD, Dishoom, Dilwale, Badri, Judwaa- and almost all of these movies are comedies where has somewhat acted the same. Where is the versatility ? One Badlapur isn't enough

Yes he has. Badlapur... but I don't think that can match To Wake Up Sid, Rockstar, Barfi. I personally don't like Ranbir either but will give him credit.

Ranbir is the Ajay Devgan of this time. A national award winning actor, hits or flops don't affect Ajay's career, after every box-office failure he blames his director and moves on.

I feel Ranbir is better actor than Varun. Rocket Singh, Wake up Sid, Barfi to name a few were made for Ranbir. Can't think anyone else playing those roles.

Varun has surpased Ranbir long back. Ranbir was all media hype and he did sustain the hype with few good movies too but he isn't a star material at all and believes in being in the news for his affairs and not for his films. So yes varun is the bigger star here. And i also find varun as the better actor, he can surely do a YJHD or even a Rajneeti but Ranbir can never do a judwaa or ABCD convincingly.

varuns so called success are sure shot commercial flicks whereas ranbir has been experimenting , he has been doing films that satisfy his appetite.
