Alia should have done it It would have done well considering the dulhania series were such a hit and had that novelty factor with alia varun. Alia is acting too pricey but her last release was a mega flop and now Alpha is dicey too. Some usual romcoms won't hurt but wonder why these stars who become super successful start looking down on romcoms..a genre which escalated their careers in the first place

Varun is on a downward spiral career wise and Alia is a top tier Hindi actress currently . I do not see her working with him until he delivers a proper hit.

Yea I think Varun, and maybe even Shashank, are bigger reasons for why she turned it down than it being a romcom. She did RRKPK with Ranveer and that was before Jigra. I don’t think she has a problem with romcoms per se. She just considers herself in a different tier than Varun and/or Shashank.

I don’t know how the movie is gonna be, but that poster of Varun alone tells me he’s in his full copy Govinda mode.

Jhanvi has movies with the 2 OG Students (student of the year) back to back.
