IDT the current actresses hate Deepika per se. They probably just don't get along with her.
Deepika seems so bored irl, she really doesn't come across as a people person to me. Maintains her distance and doesn't indulge in the gal pal behaviour. Probably that's why no one really knows her or understands her. All her interactions in IVs in the US were so forced...honestly, she seems uncomfortable in general. Shayad reclusive hai.
Bottomline: Idt people know her enough to hate her.

eta: criticism affects Deepika a lot tho. But she never came across as secure within herself anyway.

@bold- very true. So many were just downright awkward and painful to watch. Similar to BW, she played buddy buddy with her co-stars there, esp Ruby Rose. Many noticed that when PC won a PCA that year, all DP posted about was Ruby's outfit at the PCAs, whereas other BWers were congratulating PC. Currently, DP no longer even follows Ruby on IG. Seems like there isn't anything genuine about her relationships with people.

I dont think this has to do with DP's success only. There were plenty of successful actresses before her that left more of a mark then DP has and they still were not as disliked as she was.

PP: True! As I said, defo not a people's person. Total recluse or more like selectively recluse. She hangs out with a lot of people and tries to engage for the heck of it cus #showbiz but doesn't seem to enjoy it. This forced interaction makes her look petty, coupled with her insecurity which makes her pull people down passively. I think it's just her personality, can't even blame her for it, it's not the right fit for BW. She doesn't seem to trust people.
Now PC, she is fiercely outgoing and loves meeting people. DP on the other hand...not so much.

Honestly, there's no reason for any jealousy when it comes to the current DP. Her HW venture was a huge flop and she's been MIA for long in BW too. She doesn't even have connections to the bigwigs like she used to as even people like SRK have moved away. After her constant publicity seeking by declaring herself as first choice for Salman's movies, I don't think he cares for her either.

She has only Ranveer and SLB. Maybe Padmavati will resurrect her. Maybe it won't. But as of now, nobody needs to be particularly jealous of her.

And BW relationships are fickle so Ranveer doesn't mean much especially as he is living off her name more than vice versa. Sonam is happy in her relationship and probably near marriage and Anushka has a much bigger icon and more handsome Virat as a boyfriend. Nobody cares about DP's couplegoals crap.

She definitely got insecure. Lots of actresss have come & gone & lots of actresses dislike each other but there is something about DP that really sets off these women. DP is very insecure of PC though.. So it's all a circle. 😆

Who wouldn't though if you had to be her contemporary?Being in competition with someone like her is daunting as you know you have lost even before you begin.

Deepika is immensely successful, outstanding at her job, massively popular, amazing human being, classy, graceful and is so pulchritudinous. Even I am at times jealous of her 😆 and I don't even have to compete with her.
