No one is talking about being BFFs! None of the other actresses r BFFs either! But they clearly wish well for each other, get along just fine. Just not with DP!
So according to ya'll it's everyone else's fault despite the fact that they all get along decently while almost none from her contemporaries get along with her.

DP comes across as damn pretentious. Someone who wants to be in everyone's good books. This attitude of hers is so damn off putting and unreal.

Most men seem to like her, so its obv some women dislike her.

I would not say hate but jealous and envy off course they are. And it is pretty obvious. She is gorgeously beautiful, may be just behind Aishwarya; successful in every way and now even Hollywood recognizes her.
On the other hand she is also irritating with her overdriven PR but that is just a facade for the other actresses dislike.

Priyanka wishes Deepika happy birthday, wishes her for her movies, likes her pictures on Instagram and praises her generously. On the other hand Deepika doesn't reciprocate at all any more. Priyanka didn't distance herself, Deepika did post-BM... Maybe it was Priyanka somewhat stealing the show in BM or both going west or other reasons but PC definitely doesn't hate her, she's always been very nice. Maybe even too nice... despite even direct digs at Priyanka by Deepika's KWAN manager. Deepika was asked about Priyanka in interviews and she changed the topic and started praising Aish. Deepika was the one that refused to dance with Priyanka on Pinga at IIFA. Maybe Deepika is just really competitive

I find DP really boring tbh. She was such a pataka when she was dating Ranbir. I love love love that segment with Ranbir and Konkona where they showed DP's clipping where she says so many fun things about Ranbir. That DP I never got to see again :/

I don't really buy the aggressive PR theory because everyone has a PR. Not like they can't post stories like that too. And also because I don't think Deepika is that mean to anyone in blinds. Her PR might post stories where she was the supposed first choice for a movie but that's not mean. That's petty but PR game is petty. It's possible she tries to cash in on her controversies like with RK. But, I think that's more because she is over him and wants to reduce that whole episode to something she's completely detached with. Something she doesn't mind encashing, because she doesn't care. Just like RK doesn't care about using his relationships for his benefit in media. The fact that she gets called out on it so many times, shows she is such an amateur at this.

DP is manipulative, hell, who isn't, but she isn't as manipulative as she's made out to be! All the rest are much more & all of them use their PR for their own benefit. I mean Kat's PR is as bad as DP's, if anything, DP's PR makes her look BAD. All that "DP on Diwali" rubbish they do, who won't be put off, Lmaooo! But you're absolutely right- She comes off as an amateur. Anushka, I refuse to believe, doesn't have a personal hatred of her lmao! She has always hated her. Sonam is very jealous that she's doing much better & is considered one of the best looking. Sonam also considers herself to be the Resident Fashion Icon in BW, and when DP begun stepping up the style stakes & grabbing lots of attention for that, people noticed more than Sonam so the one claim-to-game Sonam has, even that got snatched away.. Now Sonam has cemented herself as the Icon & goes abroad for fashion shows & befriends designers etc but 2012-14 is the time I am talking about.


I completely agree. I just don't understand these people who claim DP is "mad, obsessed with RK." She certainly used to be. For sure. Not at all now & if he were to ask, ever in a million years, she would LOL. Irl. 😆 She just uses her relationship & everything else they had, the same way she goes on about Vin & wanting his babies. Is it cheap? Hell yes, but that again depends on your definition of cheapness & limits you set in your personal relationships. Don't see someone as possessive as RS being fine with it though. If she was with him then, that's so disrespectful because everyone knows they're together.. But it also doesn't mean anything. DP has a history of turning ridiculously pathetic around promotion time for most of her films & RK & her should just be KEPT AWAY from each other at such times!!!!

More than hate, I think word is annoyed and irritated.

@MEB: I remember after Sonam and DP came on KWK together, after some time(and it might be after YJHD, don't remember) Sonam gave a statement that Deepika has no sense of style and tries to be someone she's not. This, I think is around the time DP became more fashion-conscious. And Sonam, in that same interview, praised Kat for wearing what she is comfortable in - jeans and tee because that's her personal style. LOL. What you said makes sense, she probably got insecure.
