Commendable Effort. šŸ‘
I feel nobody cares for the facts.People are driven by strong emotions either love or hate.
People who love will love no matter what and people who hate will hate regardless.

When everyone was expecting Doll'ish looking Queen they are used to ,we get a Queen with much more than that. Unibrow for me just adds character and differentiates her from the "Always perfect looking Queen" we are so very used to seeing in movies and television .There is perfection in SLB's imperfections. He is called a Maestro for a reason.
Even an ad in a newspaper was done in such a Grand way. That is SLB style which I love and respect immensely.
Nobody in bollywood has ever done anything in such an Epic proportion.

Awhile ago there were rumors that there were love scenes between Khilji and the Queen in the movie
That caused a Lot of problems...

Some people here said the same thing, it shouldn't matter bcz she never really existed

While at it she shouldn't spare Maharana pratap, shivaji, laxmibai, prithviraj chauhan, ram, Krishna and many others like them ? Declare them as figment of imagination for us as we won't be able to prove on this board that they ever existed, lol

Also, why not just say moguls came here to civilize us and build Taj Mahal (you got proof there to support your argument ...go ahead ..what's stopping you?)šŸ˜†šŸ˜†

And that Aurangzeb came to save the planet from overpopulation...he and other Mughals didn't carry out genocide..the Indians themselves volunteered for the good causešŸ˜†

These irfan habib followers šŸ˜†šŸ˜†

Movies are meant to be from La La Land. They are figment of someone's imagination that translates in the big screen as per the director's vision.

Bhansali's movie is based on Malik Muhammad Jayasi's poem Padmavat, where there are no scenes of Padmavati and Khilji having any moments together, forget love scenes. These rumours were completely unfounded and it's sad they resulted in violence and physical assault.

Glad that smolder put in so much research - the point of historical accuracy which many are complaining about is amusing. The first reference in history was by a poet. None of the books, either from Mughal or Rajput side had any mention of Padmavati before the poem. Over centuries, many writers were so inspired by Padmavat and wrote their own versions, so many different explanations about where Padmavati was from, her family, her characteristics etc exist around.

Trying to knock logic in there? Ain't gonna happen bro šŸ˜†
I just saw the poster post in another thread that it's great that Bhansali got slapped. When Violence starts getting appreciated that's when you know logic has already flown out of the window.

I did see a pic online Queen and Khilji sitting closely and looking at each other lovingly
Nevertheless violence was wrong

For the local people she is sacred and as I said in my other post (in another Padmavati related thread) even if she is a fictional character, the practice of Jauhar among Rajput women when attacked by Muslim rulers (including mass suicide in Chittorgarh by Rajput women when attacked bu Khilji army) did happen, there is historical evidence...

So maybe people see her as a symbol of that sacrifice
