Bollywood queueing outside her house and directors waiting for her to sign their movies was a smart hype by her PR. 'She just took her time' is a good excuse to cover up her not getting any movies even after she won Miss World.
The truth is that she didn't get any good offers from Bollywood even after Miss World. She won Miss World in 1994 and it took her 3 years to get her first movie - her debut was in a cameo role in a flop Tamil film. She got her first Bollywood movie in 1997 and that tanked miserably at the box office.
Her strategy of deflecting the blame of her bad acting on the director is very smart. If the film is hit, it's because of her. If the film is flop, it's because she's a director's actress and the director didn't use her "acting skills" properly.
No other actor or actress has ever said that they're director's actor/actress. Raavan was directed by her mentor Mani Ratnam and still it was a flop.
This is not right Ash was born in 1973 and started modelling in college in 1991 at age 18 years
In 1994 she won Miss world at age 21 years
In 1995 as part of her miss world duties she was roaming world as ambassador etc
In 1997 both her tamil and hindi film released at 24 years of age she must have shot for them in 1996
She had jeans, iruvaar and aur pyar hogya all releasing within a year
So she never took 3 years to get a movie
Even before she was miss world she got movie offers she never accepted than

If you call having 3-6 hits out of a 50 movies overall in her filmography, how is that a good career? She piggybacked off her costars for hits in Dhoom 2, Devdas, Jodhaa Akbar, HDDCS, Taal, etc. None of these movies are hits because of her.
Her Hollywood career is a joke.
She is one of the worst actresses ever to hit the industry!
Embarrassing and she is not in the league of other actresses in her generation.
Ok
For you may be some personal anger --and whatver it is , no one cares

she is Superstar--
Jodha Akbar,Dhoom , Taal---Jeans, Gujarish, Devdas, go and google
Aishwarya's first tamil movie was not a box office hit.But it was a critically acclaimed movie and its considered as a classic. She did'nt do a cameo, but as the main heroine.
