Deepika & Shahid Get Rs 10 Crore Each Says a source, 'Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor have been paid the same amount of Rs.10 crore (approx) for Bhansali's grand historical Padmavati based on the epic love story between the Maharana of Chittor (Shahid) and his beautiful wife and the evil, despotic Sultan Alauddin Khilji (Ranveer Singh) who gets smitten by Padmavati's beauty.' Shahid's One & Only Condition For Padmavati 'Shahid has ensured that he gets as big a role as Ranveer and lots of screen time hence his fat fee was one of the reasons he signed the film.'

Even Mr Bhansali Kept One Condition In Front Of The Trio 'They have to remain in the same look till the film is complete to maintain continuity as it's a period film and have to shoot for brands in the same get-up, thus limiting their work.'

Kajol also gets paid less than SRK when she works with him...how come no one raised issues with that? Why target Bhansali or Ranveer?

Who in the right mind would pay shahid anything above 1 crore at best let alone 10 cr.

Ranveer has to maintain a look for the movie. He can't do other movies in the process and also looses out on endorsements for the said look.Naturally SLB has to pay for that given he takes two years to make a movie and also demands his actors stay in their specific looks for so long.

For a mainstream A list actor to take up a negative role like that justifies his higher remuneration.

RK would have taken home 30c for it !!

I wish someone else was doing Sasha's role, I have a feeling he will be the weakest link in the movie.

This news isn't confirmed, as per reports Deepika is being paid the highest for the film.

Even if RS is paid more it aint much more than what DP is being paid, actresses are paid less in bollywood. It is the normal payment he takes for films.

RK after a string of flops got paid 38 crores for Tamasha as per reports and DP was paid 8 cr which was very unfair.

If both DP and Shahid are being the same amount, then it doesn't make a ground for gender inequality. If even Shahid was getting paid more than DP then something of this sort could have been the reason.

Deepika should be paid the most as she is a bigger star. Shahid does not deserve more than 10 lacs. When was the last time he gave a hit? Payment should be based on star power and actors contribution to the success of a film.
