Reemz, from what I gathered from the reviews, people did not like the story.. So I dont think SRK playing a cheapster was the issue.. They just did not like how the stories were handled which is fair I think.. Different things work for different folks

Even though there was no real 'story', I swear the treatment was very fresh. Like I hadn't seen another BW rom com treated this way either. Like their first scene together in the movie wasn't even the characters first interaction, she was part of the tour group he was leading. Weird right? We never got to see that. Usually you see the 'first meeting' but we didn't here. That was so different!

It was just their little journey, no-one else really mattered. It was fresh...very fresh! Plus Sejal was the woman going out and lying/kind of cheating on her fiance, she wasn't your good girl heroine and SRK played a cheapster. Maybe that unsettled people?

I think thats what made it sexy. The otherwise in control Gujju girl wanted to be out of control and the otherwise cheapster who cannot control had to control himself. But you know what was beautiful? He was more than happy to control himself because she was worth it to him.

Haven't seen JHMS yet but from reviews and all I think that I'll end up liking Tara better anyways. Tara was the life of Tamasha for me because I didn't connect with Ved at all, IA makes the worst movies with RK imo - I despise Rockstar with every fiber of my being and Tamasha was unbearable apart from the Deepika scenes.
From the trailers I also hated Anushka's caricature accent so that's another reason why I don't want to watch the movie

some people find ghatiya chutiyapa stuff so beautiful that they readily bully people for having views, slow claps, i am out of this parallel universe captured by srk/anushka fans
