This should have been marketed differently because I don't think it was ever for the majority audience. It was almost like an indie movie with the way it was structured and how it didn't spoon-feed and give you everything and let the audience interpret things their own way.

And imagine, I had not even seen all the promos and was staying away from spoilers so I was in shock at the kiss. Wow.

Even though there was no real 'story', I swear the treatment was very fresh. Like I hadn't seen another BW rom com treated this way either. Like their first scene together in the movie wasn't even the characters first interaction, she was part of the tour group he was leading. Weird right? We never got to see that. Usually you see the 'first meeting' but we didn't here. That was so different!

It was just their little journey, no-one else really mattered. It was fresh...very fresh! Plus Sejal was the woman going out and lying/kind of cheating on her fiance, she wasn't your good girl heroine and SRK played a cheapster. Maybe that unsettled people?

Reemz, from what I gathered from the reviews, people did not like the story.. So I dont think SRK playing a cheapster was the issue.. They just did not like how the stories were handled which is fair I think.. Different things work for different folks
