People had no faith in the actors of those movies plus bad wom. Akki movies are these days liked by the audience and has a good concept as well. Movie can't be bad and it will easily be successful. Akki never got critics support so it won't matter even if they give less stars.

They look creepy. Have you seen the songs? Akki looks like an old uncle stalking a young girl. There is a reason why the buzz died down after the trailer was well received. First of all creepy pairing and then showing that a stalker gets the girl.

I don't think it will be much preachy. The original (Joker) was bittersweet and funny ,I believe.Haven't watched it hence no idea.

P.S.Read recently in a blog that this movie is publicised as remake for award purposes.The original already got NA for best film. Don't know what changes are they going to make,so as to show that this one is not a remake. Again, not sure.

The trailer was well received
People are liking the pair as well
The film has a social message
Ticket rates will be low
I think it will be a super hit

So this is also a remake of a Tamil film 😲

So they stole from both Tamil film and that documentary whose makers sued them

And not a peep out of anybody while JJ was trolled like anything for stealing from here and there

So much bias ...SMH

Bahubhali and Dangal were obvious sharks in a pool of small fishes.

Can't say anything right now. Agreed about akki looking creepy in that song but how the movie works will depend on it's WOM. Btw that 140 cr isn't confirmed right?

Stealing here and there also makes it partially stolen,which is also the case of TEPK. Like they say, 10 Rs ya 1000 chori toh chori hai. I also agree that,it has almost become impossible to make a movie without being inspired at least in one way or other.Just don't pass it off as some innovation. What surprises me more is they are not publicizing the remake part for nomination in NA (as remake is not allowed) which already won the same award.

Plagiarized or remake film shd not get NA, why are they even expecting to win one? Is it in the bag already?
