His fan following has increased with respect to his work but he does not generate much interest as a person.. Why is that so is what I want to know

@bold:that's wht my prev post implied...he never used to talk much abt his private life on public platform so how could he generate interest as a person?u should visit his movies threads where some members have posted abt fan reactions before making assumptions...

Why is everyone saying game changed for Aamir post Lagaan?

He has several excellent films pre Lagaan too.. yes his PR game changed post Lagaan and he started to cultivate a certain image..

But I love his 90s movies perhaps even more than than the other 2 khans' movies.. he had lot of duds too as did the other Khan's bcos unlike today's young actors in 90s they would do lot of films.. but along with terrible movies he always had one very good movie every year which were one of the best movies of that year.. and some average movies became hits like Dil,Raja Hindustani and ishq..

Andaz apna apna

Akele hum akele Tum

Rangeela

Ghulam

Earth

Sarfarosh

I think that's excellent filmography and for me personally his films have aged better than srk,SK.. I can still watch the above films of Aamir when playing on TV but hardly watch any of the others films..

Earth is one of the most under rated movies in Aamir Khan career. I think its easily one of his best role. What a negative role he played.

If it would have released in multiplex era it would have fared far far better and would have got better recognition.

Post rangeela his choice of movies started getting better and after Lagaan he hardly missed.

Aamir's flops or underperformers were better movies than his hits with an exception of Sarfarosh and Rangeela(though it's climax had flaws ) in 90's...would even add Raakh...Sarfarosh and Earth were his absolute best performances in 90's ...he was on another level in those movies...Earth was shot in 40 days...Aamir did this film within 30 days...

Along with such subject,those days controversy was a big no...there were controversies over the lovemaking scene of Rahul and Nandita...guess it was banned at some places...add to that this was Deepa Mehta's next directorial...her previous film Fire was banned...

Rangeela was a gamechanger in his career...yes he had more success on a consistent basis post Lagaan...

when the actor can afford to take risks... he has a massive stardom... every movie cant be an ATBB... stardom is taking risks and getting the public to show up for you when they might not have watched that same movie with anyone else..
