Guys, do you agree? It seems that the bollywood has lost its glamour and fame as compared to the past 10 years. These days very less movies are getting super hit and doing good collections at the box office. May be, now bollywood requires some good stories and writers.

True! 10 years ago the likes of SRK, Hrithik, Abhishek, John, Salman... had either beauty, charm or talent likewise for their heroin.

There was more movies with medium-sized budget in which there was fresh faces ou lesser-known ones.

It needs a revamp
Pretty much the same stories
Very few choice of leads
Same rehashed music
A bio pic after every one year

How much ppl will cry for Bollywood, despite of whatever anyone says... It is ROCKING all over & bigger than any other industry.

People want to see new entertaining movie and not the remake and recycled movie even songs are so bad in the movie, i prefer playing 90's and lata, kishore, rafi song.

They r not losing fame and glamorous but because of so many technologies, everything becomes boring after sometime, back then TV and theater were the only places to see movies but right now we can watch movies and songs in online whenever we want.

Pardon the question. If you really think so, please tell me which serial to watch. I have been trying to watch serials and cannot get into any. find them all OTT, costumes garish and sets horrible.

I think you are talking about two different things. Glamor and fame wise, I love the fashion of today vs the horrible fashion of the 90s and 80s. People are more fit, groomed, both guys and gals. We have our girls walk in Cannes and get tremendous praise from fashion critics and magazines world over. So I say glamor wise, today's BW is better.

As for stories and superhit, surprisingly content is king fairly recently. I have been surprized that movies like Hindi Medium, Dum Lagake Haisha, Mom are all getting both critical acclaim and decent BO. 80s and 90s movies were terribly regressive, but we get movies like Kapoor and Sons, Lunch Box, Udta Punjab and even big BO movies like Dangal. The songs and music were better in the 80s and 90s but movies wise, I definitely think now is so much better. Acting wise though the 80s and 90s were better.

I agree. TV serials are at their own place and Bollywood movies are at their own place. They both cant be compared. Its just that bollywood movies have lost its glamour but it is still a better choice for serial haters. Movies and serials or daily soaps cant be compared.
