A father to a 16-year-old boy and a six-month old boy. Are you more involved this time?
It is fashionable to say I am changing diapers, etc. Everyone does it. It's no big deal. The real thing is being with the baby all day and taking care of him 24/7. Luckily we have a family set-up and everyone pitches in, and we also have help here to do all that for us and that's a big blessing. I have seen friends in London and they do everything themselves. And it's a lot of work. No wonder some of them kill their babies. Yes, it happens. I know it is a politically incorrect thing to do. Anyway, I think a father's role is for other bigger things. When Taimur grows up, and we can talk is when the real father-son equation comes into play. All this is frivolous. I have been leaving my house early and I have started waking him up at around 7. He finishes his feed he has just started on solid foods and we spend about 20 minutes together. I read to him or put on some music, or nursery rhymes. Taimur, incidentally begins his day by listening to aarti.

Is he for real? I can't stop thinking about how effed up his comment is! No wonder some of them kill their babies? What a prick! PARENTS do NOT kill their children, messed up PSYCHOS do! Does he really think all hands on parents want to kill their kids?

I noticed that as well. Very self-serving and wrong for him to say. He's justifying not raising his own child by saying other parents kill their kids so I'm being better here by not taking the job on myself . Babies are meant to be raised by parents, not nannies. And no 99.999% don't kill their kids, only the ones with severe mental health issues do (eg psychosis). Nothing sincere about his comment at all.

His psuedo intellectual speeches are so off putting at times.

What? Kids are lot of work so parents kill their kids. Kareena' dumbness is rubbing off to him. There are psychotic ppl who might kill their kids, not becos its lot of work to raise them but becos they are psychotic and mentally ill.

Not everyone is rich or privileged enough to hire nannies. So yes they have to do it themselves. But no one will kill their child becos its lot of work.

Politically incorrect thing to do 😆 More like morally reprehensible thing to do. 😆
To be fair, he probably meant abortion.

^Ah he meant abortion. The way he speaks of how much work it is to bring up a child, and then talks about parents killing their babies.

There are other circumstances to consider when one thinks about abortion. Politically incorrect thing to do? Or morally?

No idea why he is talking about abortion when one asks him about his involvement with parenting his new born.

I don't know exactly what he mean't, just made a suggestion based on a charitable interpretation. He is not very clear, he talks about his friends in London having a hard time raising kids and is not surprised that some of them kill their kids, is he talking about his friends or some parents in general?

It's a print interview and journalists can use.the wrong words while writing.out an article.
I don't.believe print interviews unless there is reason to believe like that person's personality.

I think Saif meant too.much stress over handling.work as.well as looking after a kid can drive some over the edge. He should hv used the word psychologically unsound.people.

Maybe he said it's a politically incorrect thing to say to admit too much stress over a new baby has driven.people to kill their babies. Which does sound also weird. It's not a very common.occurrence. I'm.confused.

A fathers role in bringing up his kids is.important only when the.kid can talk and discuss with him. That too sounds off. If there was no one to change nappies and feed baby then there won't.be any baby left to talk to. And who said it's the sole.domain of a mother to change diapers and do feeding etc?

He is sounding like 1950s ka zamindar who won't touch his baby. Except to look at him for.a certain time and take.pride that yes, I sired this kid.

Strange.
