Watched the movie

not half as bad as the critics made it seem like
i enjoyed it..thoroughly entertaining..beautiful music
the execution and direction is very tight..so despite the story being nothing extra-ordinary..you do not feel bored
the characters are extremely well developed and there are substantial moments where you start investing in them
coming to performances, Shradha was really good. One of her better performances for sure. She was particularly brilliant in that one scene where she opens up to Arjun about domestic violence she and her mother faced
Arjun is brilliant. He gets into the skin of his character. Nails the bihari accent and gives an amazing performance. He is for sure here to stay and that is not only to nepotism but also the fact that he can actually act and here he gives one of his best performances
the guy playing his friend was brilliant as well
Songs are so beautiful and very appropriately placed
Drawback was definitely the ending..seemed a bit rushed
Nonetheless an enjoyable experience
I would also like to say that please go.with your instincts. Do not make decisions based on critics.
I made the mistake when i went for Meri Pyaari Bindu after watching anupama's review and it was terrible to the T and here i was about to make the same.mistake of giving it a miss but i let it decide for myself not based on any one else's reviews
I am not saying it only coz i liked the movie and critics didn't..just that lets not make their reviews as some gospil truth coz there for sure are many agendas and biases going around there..so lets decide it for ourselves..
I am going with 3 stars
