whatever she did was too little and too late,too late!

not only did she take baahu's life unfairly,she singlehandedly destroyed devasena 's life .she didn't even spare a thought about the innocent baby who'd never get to meet his father. ..all She cared was for her ego,her anger and her blood!is she even a mother?a woman with a heart?she didn't even think once what's happen to the pregnant devasena after her husband's death?don't consider her as daughter in law but atleast as a fellow woman!but NO!

What's the use in falling at her feet and lamenting when everything is over?Will that bring back her amarendra?

She put mahishmati also in grave trouble by assassinating baahubali, she left the people at the hands of the tyrant bhallaladeva. ..people Iike her ,who let their emotions get the best of them SHOULD NOT be given positions of power!that's the biggest lesson bb2 showed!

P.S. do you know what irked me most in the climax?that mahendra took his first decision in the name of sivagami! agreed she sacrificed her life for him..but that was the least thing she could do to amend her sin.but she remains the PRIME reason why mahendra never got to know his great father,who lived and died for the kingdom and why his mother had to suffer all these years!!

i'd have liked it if he gave his first order in the name of his nanna garu AMARENDRA BAAHUBALI, proclaiming himself amarendra bahubali 's waaris and rajmata Devasena 's son!

but no SSR couldn't stop himself from mentioning the so called epitome of justice again!that's called overrating a character,as priya said!

Actually Ratna, I also had the same observation about the first statement by Mahendra. And I have reservations about it.

The entire bloodshed/misunderstanding/ destruction happened due to Sivagami. Youa re right - she ordered for Baahu's death when his wife is on the verge of giving birth. So her falling on Devsena's feet of course wouldn't mean much.

She has repented, she gave her life to save Mahendra ... yes, that's the least she could do.

And I really wish Mahendra had made Katappa a Minister and freed him from the slavery

Though I love Amar and Sivagami scenes I hate her character now completely.I too guessed that she had a part in Baahu's death but never expected she would be this dumb. To err is fine, even if she wanted to kill Baahu at the spur of the moment also I can understand but when Kattappa is saying he is not of that type shouldn't she have considered?? Atleast call him in and ask.Why that ego ?? And this is the lady who so bravely attacked the minister trying to ascend the throne in part 1.Bah !
The injustice she did to Baahu and his family is one thing but what irks me is how they hail her so much if this was her character trait ?? A totally overrated character. She's a complete misfit to that 'epitome of justice' title.

Totally totally agree with u. Sivagami is the most overrated character of the entire Indian film history. I want to stab SSR everytime he says sivagami is his most favorite n most powerful of all😡 How can he even entitle her as epitome of Justice is beyond my wits. Everything she does, every decision of her in BB2 is a blunder. I see no Dharma in her characterisation whatsoever. Her's is the most influenced n weakest character in BB2 if u ask me. I actually feel cheated when we compare her characterisation in first n second parts. No link at all!! I donno hw she looked after such a mighty kingdom for 25 yrs. Blinded by ego n anger, it is more of Neelambari shaded rather than sivagami in part one😕
