Maya 🤗 I knew you'l like it. One film which we can appreciate after ages 😆 I love Anushka man. She is awesome. She has been through a lot off late thanks to all the weight gain but its amazing to see her get such fab reviews. Its long overdue. I cant think of one contemporary heroine in Indian cinema who can play historical characters better than her. And she looked stunning in the film. I could watch an entire film on Baahu-Devasena and I kinda gave up on the film the moment he died 😆 I really din care for how Shiva avenged his father's death 😆

Ditto to everything you said. For me personally, the fact that they din glorify sacrifice in the name of loyalty or mother's love coupled with the fact that they din make a big deal out of his giving up on the throne were the best parts of the film. And Devasena not feeling guilty for everything that happened and being overtly nice to his family was the icing on the cake 😆 Its been so long since I saw a love story with so much respect and dignity. Makes me happy and their crackling chemistry just made it even better to watch on screen..

Yeah Rana is HOT. Like I said, he din indulge in OTT dialoguebaazi and he was this quite, intense villain which added to his hotness 😆 I really wish there was more of him and Devasena.

P.S. Sathyaraj was fantastic as Kattapa. Those bits where Devasena asks him to lift their baby first and ones where he confronts Sivagami- some amazing piece of acting ⭐️

This movie would had been different if they had shown Devasana feeling guilty for whatever happened. Instead like a rockstar, she demands Bahubali to take the throne when he is ripped off his commander duties as well and confronts Sivagami for being silent during the tamasha. 😎

The best part is about how they have associated Dharma and duty with respecting the woman in his life to whom he promised his companionship unlike a lot of times in our mythos where other forms of dharma and duty are given more weightage leading to unfortunate events.

And I was reading a review where this reviewer associated Bahubali's repsect for her mom to Oedipus complex. Pray tell me how does that even fit in when he didn't even give a rat's ass about his mom's shiz promise and told her that she is clearly wrong and won't entertain her this time.

And ditto with Shivudu's part..didn't freaking care about him whatsoever. He was not a patch on his dad. 😆 I'm so glad Tamanna was hardly there. Her acting makes me laugh

Sathyaraj was amazing..from his comic act of being innocent to him confronting Sivagami in the end and also where he finally kills Amarendra. Some top notch acting from this man. Can't even imagine anybody else in his place. South has some of the best character artists ever . So versatile and dynamic who can fit any role. Loved loved the "old man" rants by Amarendra 😆

+1 to everything you said. I was discussing this with another friend and we realized how its unfair to compare Baahubali with Ram/Arjun like some reviews did. Cos for one, unlike both the epics, he never let loyalty/obedience/promise overrule his strong sense of right and wrong. Yes, he was loyal/obedient to a fault but that never stopped him from standing up for what is right. But yeah, Devasena was totally on the lines of Draupadi. No nonsense, confident and feisty. I was actually convinced there will be atleast one scene where Baahubali feels guilty for hurting his mother or berating Devasena for being rude to his mom. The fact that there was not a single scene on those lines and he was happy to do the right thing made me so happy as a viewer 😆

LOL @ Oedipus complex. If that is what a viewer derives out of their relationship, I have nothing to say 😆 Its true though that she was the most important person in his life but she din have that same faith on his love and loyalty which eventually destroyed all their lives.

I think I will go watch this again after a few days 😆

And this scene be the best. Love he teacher her on the spot. Anushka looks gorgeous. ❤️
