While watching the movie ... I felt Shivgami kind of had a jealousy with Devasena . Devasena was just like Shivgami ..fierce and confident . Bahu choosing Devasena over Shivgami was start of this jealousy . And yes the backend thought that Bhalla has always to be at the loosing end yet he taking all them in pride added the guilt .

I also felt the character of Bahubali was so well written . He was King in every Right .
Just like Shivgami says in the part 1 ,real king is not only one who defeats the enemy but also the one who saves his Praja ... adding to that King is also one who motivates others .just like how Bahu did when his team was on the verge of giving up and he tells them the real meaning of Mrityu . Even in the part to through Subbarao they asserted ''tis very quality of Bahubali ... which I felt was quite Novel and Unique never seen before in Movies .

Ohh the Crowning scene of Balladdev ...is something I can watch n no if times . EPIC !!!!

Edit : Ohh I also have to mention 2 scenes which I loved the most
1) Bahubali's way of finding that Devsena was telling the truth and not the Senapti guy .
2) Bahu's arrow deflecting Devasena's arrow in the Hunting competition

Saw the film. Easily the best sequel(even though technically it was a flashback prequel 80%). Rana was hot Nasser was good Subburaj was simple superb a great first best acting from him Satyaraj was AMAZING especially in the scenes before he killed Amarendra. This film easily had the best performances from the lead pair and will be hard to match in a long time. Prabhas was outstanding as Amarendra and Mahendra but it was as Amarendra who stole the show. His grandeur and the body language was unmistakable. Prabhas was born to play Amarendra and Mahendra. Anushka is no less. She matched the towering screen presence of Prabhas in every frame, in some scenes even overshadowing everyone else. Devasena is easily one of the well etched and enacted female character onscreen and boy how amazing was Anushka. All said and done, to me it was Ramya Krishnan as Sivagami who stole the show in this magnificent ensemble. She stood right at top in terms of body language and performance as the Queen Sivagami. I know she is a veteran and she had done other memorable roles like Neelambari but this film will prove she is a living legend and it's hard to find a performer like her. She is truly the Queen! Loved the first half decent second half and fitting end. Can't believe it's over though. Will definitely go again to catch all the grandeur in theatre again. At end of the day, if there is a person who is truly the star and soul of the film, it is hands down SSR garu. SLB Ashu all pales badly in comparison, in fact not worthy of a comparison even if I liked their JA and BM. Hats off to the entire team for gifting us this mammoth of a film, a film Indians can finally be boastful about in terms of technological richness as compared to HW films. This film deserves to set all new records, let alone breaking all the old ones. More power to team Bahubali!

Still in Bahubali hangover . 😳
I loved the intro scenes of all especially Devasena's ,her eyes though😳
Spoiler
Few of my fav scenes are ;
Devasena rejecting the proposal and her brother supporting her decision knowing that it would even destroy them .
My most favourite is Bahubali questioning the army cheif and Devasena and finding out the truth and dialogue you didn't do the right thing by cutting his fingers and the pause ,and the action followed by it .👏
Another scene which gave me goosebumps is the entry of kattappa with the bahu's blood covered sword and shivagami's expression just wow what a scene .
The guy seated besides me literally made the wow sound loudly when Bhalla teared his clothes ,his body😳
What intrigued me most is Bhalla's obsession to Devasena ,he caressing the chain it was like the lust but in the next scene her head was under his feet .
Thank God there was only two or three scenes for Tamanna 😆
I felt sympathy for Kattappa the man destined to act like a machine.
Shivagami yet again proved that blood is thicker than water .
The only scene which I felt too much was M Bahubali and team jumping to the palace .
Prabhas screen presence ,Anushka's yet another princess Avatar 👏 IMO ,it is near to impossible to find another actress who can play Devasena's role in Elan .She is just perfect .
I loved the fact there is not a single scene which objectified woman .

At the risk of revealing spoilers (those who are yet to watch please ignore this post 😆), I have to list out some of the most fascinating aspects of the film. Why Kattapa killed Baahubali is nothing really in comparison except it just ended up being the selling point of the film-

1. Sivagami was an extremely fascinating character. She was blinded by pride and ego. I think SSR had too much to show and too little time to focus on her psyche but from what lil was shown, her meltdown and that one decision she took in a hurry which eventually destroyed everyone, was quite well done. Despite taking the right decisions, she always felt like she was being unfair to her son and as a consequence, always tried to over-compensate in other ways. That scene where she showers him with gifts was quite telling. And Bhalla did a great job in guilt tripping her and showing off his 'magnanimity'. That coupled with her hate for Devasena and the fact that her foster son was going against her for a girl he hardly knew blinded her rationality. She couldn't see that he was supporting Devasena cos she was right and not because he was blinded by love. The tragedy of it all is that Baahbali only remembered his mother when he died. Not his wife or his child who were also in desperate need of protection. It was too late and he never got to become the king despite being worthy of it.

2. Devasena was one hell of a character. She was a feminist through and through and I loved how she always asserted her opinion. Love din change her and she din act coy and dainty all of a sudden just because she fell in love. Baahubali fell for her for what she was-fiery and confident. He respected the fact that she had an opinion of her own and he never manhandled her or lost his temper even when she spoke against his own family cos he knew she was right.

3. Baahubali respected Devasena's right to choose. This mad me so happy cos most movies and shows have this twisted way of glorifying sacrifice and mahaanta. Where you sacrifice your girlfriend/boyfriend just because your parents want you to/because your sibling is in love with them. Not for a moment did he flinch or think of giving her up for his mom/brother simply because it was not his choice to make. Ekta, Gul and various otherw omen who make shitty shows on TV glorifying sacrifice and making a kachra out of the concept of choice need to watch this 😆 Oh and that scene where Baahubali cuts the guy's head for misbehaving with women was whistle-worthy.

4. Bhalla's dynamic with Devasena was fascinating. He seemed to be weirdly obsessed with her. That scene where he caresses her chains or the one where he asks her to die in the pyre with him showed his unhealthy obsession. SSR doesn't explore it enough which is quite sad cos Rana and Anushka had fantastic chemistry and Bhalla was the most psychologically intriguing character in the film..

5. That scene where Baahubali teaches her archery was poetic. Not patronizing or with an intent to show he knows better than her. It was beautiful and that bit where she walks on him- all kinds of romantic and his smile was to die for 😆

Phew. Thats it for now. I cant believe I have written an essay on a film 😆 The film drags and the climax is definitely underwhelming but I really cant deny the moments of brilliance.

this is my fav post ...because you expressed everything i feel
tats y i loved devasena ...she dint change just because she married him or stopped talking to please her mother in law... she always spoke her mind and marriage definitely dint change

and i loved amerendra baahubali character ...men needs to learn from him
its ok to be mamma's boy, its ok to love your mom to earth and back but when she is wrong you gotta speak up ...tat's the part i loved the most everyone knew how much he loves his mother but still stood up to her when needed

ps: i love that seen where devasena walks on him ...that attitude and their smiles are to die for
for me that scene was more romantic than all the romantic movies which show too much physical intimacy to generate that love feeling lol

Finally watched the magnum opus. Couldn't miss it with the hype of this magnitude around the movie and rightfully so! Still awestruck with the grandeur, rhetoric with thunderous and effective dialogues and so many poignant moments. It is story of valor and unmatched heroism of Amarendra Bahubali. Bahubali senior just overshadowed Bahubali junior Shiva. Loved the strategies and intelligence of Bahubali, how he changed the unfavorable situations when faced with larger army or power and improvised to win. On the other hand The villain Bhallal didn't even update his chariot on bulls from part 1 to part 2 ;). Amarendra Bahubali's kindness made him look even more powerful and endearing and he is suitably matched with Anushka's strength and bravery. Simply loved the story.. somewhere after the demise of Amarendra Bahubali it became difficult to come back to story of Shiva and his vendetta. I liked the chemistry and budding romance between the king and princess and the light hearted moments that came with it when he was courting Anushka.. Overall I feel it is a movie that needs to be watched only in theaters. I liked it more than Bahubali 1.

Never got the hype around this movie so I went to watch it. Nothing surprised me. My expectations were high as well as below average.
I thoroughly enjoyed this joke of a masterpiece. They had put so much money into it and couldn't get the vFx good is absolutely baffling. I was rooting for the cinematography of it.
That ship in the sea scene took me to "Moana" land. Some scenes were too unrealistic and totally hilarious. Had Baahubali had any supernatural power or what? I haven't watched the first part properly so need to know. Because it would only make sense then.
Chalo I get that flying ship scene given the characters were in their fantasy land. Everything else was absolutely unintentionally funny.
Story was good. The greed of power was nicely depicted. But some totally exaggerated scenes ruined it. The seriousness is gone and you get distracted.
I spent most of the movie, shaking with laughter. It was literally a comedy.

What I liked (This is going to be much easier).

2- Prabhas as Arminder Baahubali. He played the character with so much sincerity and conviction.
3- Anushka Shetty. She was fantastic. Those eyes👏
4- The one who played Baahubali's step brother. He showed his true self after BB's death.
5- Arminder's death scene made me a little emotional.
6- The scene where the civilians show their power, hailing BB and the earth shakes. Liked the concept behind it.
1- Songs esp. The background score for BB.

And that's about it. Honestly it doesn't deserve the hype its getting. The movie is unintentionally hilarious in some parts.
Nevertheless, I was happy after watching the movie. It was less painful than Furious 8.
You won't regret wasting your money. The only good thing about it.
