So I watched KJo's viral 3 min clip and he said he doesnt indulge in nepotism as he never launched his son or daughter or niece or nephew. He ofcourse found people like Varun, Sara, Ishaan, Jhanvi after a nationwide hunt and Alia after a world wide hunt since he didnt know they lived somewhere nearby in the homes of his friends or acquaintances. And ofcourse he ignored his kids and didnt launch them. Alia also feels she benefited due to her family to bag her first film and rest she gets only on merit. So what is your definition of nepotism?

If you go by definition of nepotism then Kjo is right and he is not doing any nepotism. What Kjo is doing is basically a form of racism in which he considers people from the pure blood bollywood family to be superior to people who are not from bollywood whatsoever. So Kjo 's thinking is pretty similar to voldemort and his death eaters in that aspect.
Now people might say that but Kjo is so close to SRK who is an outsider too but he might just be an exception because the way Kjo treats outsiders (apart from sidmal who as gossips go is special case ) does not show him in good light.

i saw the clip too
karan needs to broaden his horizon

nepotism or supporting it does not literally mean your son daughter blah blah

it is supporting and giving free entry to those star kids (of others but on good terms with you) where as putting the outsiders through several auditions/surgeries/casting couch or what not..

so yes karan has fully supported nepotism..and he cannot deny that

he would have never taken alia or varun if they weren't starkids. Yes they proved their talent no doubt but they weren't one of these initially especially who you will easily offer a movie that too a shallow person like kjo..would have rejected them on their height alone..let anything else..so please..cut the crap jo!

Won't even compare a dumbass like KJo to a self-made man like Voldemort.

He's basically hiding behind semantics here. Bollywood needs to drown after Salman/Aamir retire before these folks like KJo realize how unable the industry and his favorites are to keep it running.

For Actors, Jim Sarab explained it clearly - Star kids did not do audition rounds for many movies/studios, someone came and offered movie to them, that too as a Hero/Lead.

+1 to Bold.

I agree with the HP and BW analogy. That was self explanatory😆

What Karan does is not exactly Nepotism , it is favoritism, where no matter what criteria, some people get more chances than others despite others being more talented.

Nepotism, fair or not, doesn't guarantee success. To credit Alia's success to Nepotism is just being bitter. She earned it fair and square. The only thing Nepotism guarantees, at best is a decent launch but its all an even playing field after that.

Kjo gave Sid M a better launch than both Varun & Alia. He promoted Sid M more than either of them too and was on his way to doing the same for Fawad Khan before he was forced to leave.

Sid M is no industry kid. Your argument is invalid.

Sid can't act to save his life...clearly a case of casting couch.. kjo is also trying to get close to fawad for the same reason.
